Have you ever had a sister/brother in school that always does better then you and everybody thinks you are as smart as them? Well Jammee does her sister's name is Darcy and she is really smart and all of Jamee's teachers tell Jamee why cant you be as smart as youre sister. This book is Realistic Fiction because this can happen to anybody.I tought this book was okay because i like books with alot of action in them and this book was about how Jamee was getting bad grades and her sister Darcy always had good grades and people tell her why cant you be as smart as your sister and she has to bring her grades up because she wants to be a cheerleader and in order to be a cheerleader you have to do good in school. This story took place at Bluford High, her house, and her aunts house.Jamee wanted to be a cheerleader at Bluford high. But in order to be a cheerleader she had to do good in school and she was doing bad. So she was trying to bring her grades up by doing her homework and staying after school for extra help sometimes. Then she started going to cheerleading tryouts to see if she was good enough for the team. Conflict Person vs self because she has to make her own decisions if she wants to make the team she has to bring her grades up. The main Character is Jamee,Darcy (jamee's sister), Veronica student at Bluford high.I was surprised when the teachers were telling her why cant you be as smart as your sister Darcy. I tought that was pretty mean to say that to her because its like if there saying why are you so dumb. That affected Jamee in the story because she felt bad and she got mad. The main Characters problem is getting bad grades in shool because if she has bad grades she cant join any school programs. This affected her in the story because she wanted to tryout for the cheerleading team. When i was in the middle of the book i wished that Jamee made the cheerleading team because it was one of her favorite stuff to do and if she didnt make it i think she would get super sad and other people would make fun of her.In the book they were calling Jamee stuff because she kissed a boy. I didnt understand why they cared if it didnt consern them. I tought they were just being mean and being a bully to her. This book and the book The Fallen by Karyn Langhorne Folan have one thing in common because at some point the main character was getting bullied too. At some point my brother was doing better then me in school and i was doing bad and my mom told me why cant you do good in school just like youre brother and i used to get really mad and felt like yelling at my mom but I knew if I did I would get in trouble. I was surprised when her classmates start spreading rumors and start to put pictures in her school. I tought that was pretty dumb and immature.I tought this book was pretty good but not the best book i have read because I like books that include violence and a lot of action. I rate this book a 8 because its about like girl drama so I would recommend this to girls that have a lot of drama in their lives and see how Jamee handled her drama in school. If you ever read this book I hope you learn the same thing that I did stand up for your self and don't let people push you around and always do good in school because if you don't when you want to join a school program you aren't going to be able because you need good grades.

*Spoiler Alert*Reading a book so boring will have you go crazy, my book Pretty Ugly will have you excited, sad, eager, and inspired. The Genre of this book is Realistic Fiction. My opinion on this book is that I really enjoyed it. I was very determined and excited to read more. When Jamee's boyfriend broke up with her just because of what people were saying about her, I felt her pain because how can your first love ever do anything to you like that. The Setting of my book is At Bluford High School, Jamee's School, its relevance to the story is that, that is where the conflict started. The conflict is person Vs. person because Angel and Jamee have to go against bullies at their school.Jamee is A freshman at Bluford High School. Jamee wants to be a Bluford Cheerleader, but the way her grades are set up it looks like she won't be one. So one day she see these group of girls ganging up on this one girl at cheerleading tryouts, instead of walking away and being a coward she stands up for the poor girl. But Jamee gets caught up in more mess, her mother and father expects her to be like her sister, her boyfriend wants to believe what other people say, and the girls who were ganging up on that one girl Angel, comes after Jamee with rumors saying that she like girls. Then when Angel's mom tells Jamee parents how brave and sincere Jamee were they finally decide that she could be on the cheerleading team and they understood that Jamee is not going to always be like Darcy, Smart and independent. I can relate to the character, Jamee, because when i was in 4th grade this girl was getting bullied in gym class for being skinny and not knowing how to do things. I stood up for the girl and told the bullies to leave her alone, and then they started to pick on me for a while and I told the teachers and they left us alone. The character Jamee and I are similar because both of our parents do not understand, and they do not like to listen to our explanation when they think we are doing something bad when we were actually doing something smart. Like in the book when Jamee wanted to explain to her parents the reason she was skipping her classes to help her get better grades, and to go to cheerleading practice, was to stand up for Angel Mcollister. I was surprised when Jamee stood up for Angel because in other books related to this book the person would just run and tell the teacher. I do not know about anyone else but i'll like for someone around my age to stand up for me. Just like when we went to the assembly, half of the school suggested when they get bullied they'll rather have someone similar to there age to stand up for them. I was convinced by this passage because it shows me how to be a better person. Also treat people how the way I want to be treated, because there is a 50% chance someone is not going to like what and how I do things but if I don't give them the satisfaction they'll leave me alone. That's exactly what Jamee did. I give her props. In conclusion, on a scale 1 through 5, I rate this book as an 5 because not only that I liked it, I really could relate to the characters. I recommend this book to the people who are struggling in their life because this book might help you with your problems. So if you want to read a more relating book to yourself. Stop by the library you probably don't have anything else to do. Hehe!

The novel Pretty Ugly is mainly about Jamee Willis a student at Bluford High School, who is struggling with friend, family, and school work issues. Her parents seem to not want to listen to her because they are so caught up in her older sister Darcy's college plans, and all this college talk is really irritating Jamee. At school her grades are falling apart because cheerleading tryouts are coming soon and Jamee wants to be a Bluford cheerleader, but she also needs to retake a math test she failed so that she pass the 9th grade and be a bluford cheerleader. In the novel Jamee meets a new student named Angel and Jamee friends her but,a group of girls named vanessa,Tasha,Kym start being very cruel to angel and jamee sticks up for Angel everytime the 3 girls bother Angel, but it suddenly turns ugly when one of the 3 girls take a false photo of Angel and Jamee. It's really a good book i hope you enjoyed my book review.

The main Characters problem is getting bad grades in school because if she has bad grades she cant join any school programs.I thought this book was pretty good and i rated it a 5 star because I like books that have drama and a lot of action. In this book Pretty Ugly this is Jamee's freshmen at Bluford High. Jamee is feeling good about this year and is coming into the year confidently. She didn't really know that when she was in the middle school she did things that gave her a bad reputation, like kissed a boy she did not know and went out with Bobby Wallace, a student that wasn't liked. Since her big sister went to this school, a lot of people know Jamee because of her sister Darcy. Darcy had a good reputation so everyone is expecting Jamee to be like her sister. so far I like the book because I like Jamee's attitude towards people because what she say to people is true and she speaks her mind no matter what. I also like that she sticks up for people because she cares about people. What I don't like about Jamee is that she does not get good grades and she don't care she cares about cheerleading more than a grade.

This book is about a freshman in Bluford High School named Jamee. Living in the shadow of Darcy Wills, her sister (Junior) she has to find a way to be noticed and stop being associated with her sister, and the only way to do that is to join the cheerleading team (the one thing that Darcy cant compete with her in). Jamee joins with her friends and meets a new girl named Angel. Angel is a weak girl who everyone likes to pick on (your typical high school story). As the story goes on Jamee becomes friends with Angel so that she won’t feel alone, and of course the main girl picking on Angel (Vanessa) uses this to her advantage to try to get both girls off of the team. Vanessa becomes an evil conniving person that humiliates both girls. However in the end both Jamee and Angel win and Vanessa is left with nothing.

I didnt really like how at the beginning they talked about cheerleading which seemed like went on for forever.I would have to say that I would of been like Jamee in this book. When it came to Angel and all. There is always rumors going around about someone in high school or someone getting picked on and someone needs to do something about it. In this book I can understand how Jamee could get tired of being compared all the time but I think she was out of line at the end of Ch. 6. As far as there aunt Charlette goes, I wouldnt like her either. I dislike people that act like that. I like the coach in this book. I can also relate to Jamee when it came to school. I wasnt as bad but I can relate to some stuff. I thought CH.10 and the ending was okay but I rate this book a 4 :)

Pretty Ugly is a book about a girl named Jamee Wills. As life isn't hard enough, she has to deal with mean girls. The book is written very well but at some points along the way, it was hard to picture some parts of the book. Other than that, the author Karyn continues the book perfectly. You are introduced to all of Jamee's problems. Algebra or family, you are able to feel the stress on Jamee's shoulders. I recommend this book to anyone who enjoys drama.

4.5 starsAhh. There is nothing better than a story about triumphing over a bully. They’re so inspirational, or at the very least, satisfying. I wish we saw more results like this in real life. The plot is very realistic. There really ARE girls out there like Vanessa who do things like this, for no reason. Unfortunately, it’s not always a happy ending. But I think it’s clever how they outed her and how they set it up so that if she didn’t come forward (or if her friends didn’t report her) everybody was going to suffer. I don’t think they were actually going to cancel cheerleading, as I think Jamee was going to tell the principle who did it anyway if no one cooperated, but these girls wanted their cheerleading much more than being that “cool” person who doesn’t “snitch” on people who deserve to be snitched on. After reading a lot of depressing books where the bully wins, it’s so nice to see one where they don’t. I’m also glad Jamee was quick to point out that even if the rumor about her was true (that even if she was a lesbian), it wouldn’t matter and that still wouldn’t give people the right to make fun of her or Angel. For some reason, so many kids out there act like if someone’s gay or bi, it’s a bad thing. No it’s not…being ignorant and homophobic is bad. So the rumor itself is one thing, but what’s more disturbing is that people are acting like it would be a bad thing anyway. The Bluford books have dealt with many types of issues, but I’ve never seen them touch on sexuality before. I think they did a good job in this one. I was also so glad she broke up with Desmond Hodden. Finally, a girl who stands up to the boy. Seriously, what an asshole. What an asshole he is. So your girl can’t hug another girl without you finding something wrong with it? That’s taking control to a whole new level.I really didn’t like Jamee’s mom. Never did. She’s one of those hypocritical adults who acts like kids have to respect every adult out there, warship the grounds they walk on, for no other reason than that they’re an adult, even if said adult blatantly disrespects them. She’s also a really unsupportive parent. I mean I don’t like cheerleading either, okay? I don’t like a lot of things…sports, dancing, modeling…but if I were a mother, I’d support my child in whatever their dreams are regardless. Even if it wasn’t MY personal interest. You have to realize that your child isn’t you. Only here they didn’t realize that not everybody’s as excited about scholarly-type stuff like Darcy is. I guess her mom sort of redeemed herself in the end, but it sure took her long enough. And it was only because Angel’s mom came over to tell her what had happened. What if she hadn’t done that? Then what?Ooh, I could relate to the whole “She's only a junior!” thing so much. My older sister is Miss School Is More Important Than Anything On This Green Earth. She was that girl who applied early on to five colleges, couldn’t stop talking about it, and then screamed with delight when she got accepted. Me? I didn’t apply until senior year, I didn’t study for my SATs, and I still got in. Which I wasn’t particularly excited about, because then I was like Damn it, now I actually have to go -.-. Honestly you don’t have to be that good of a student to get into a lot of colleges out there. You just don’t. I probably just a offended a shit-ton of people, but I don’t care. It’s the god honest truth. My only nitpick is that I was a little confused on how in the beginning of the book it seemed like Vanessa was really good at cheerleading, but towards the middle and end it suddenly seemed like she wasn’t so good at it at all. Maybe I missed something while reading it. It’s just a small nitpick, but still. Picky is my middle name.

Jamie wills is the main character who always gets compared to her older sister who's an honor student. Jamie decides to do cheer leading for an after school activity. Jamie isn't very smart and she didn't pass her math quiz. Cheer leading was basically a distraction from all the pressure of her failing math quiz and living up to being an honor's student like her older sister. At cheer leading Jamie noticed a new girl who was very shy. Jamie walked into the hall way and seen the new girl Angel getting bullied by the popular kids. Jamie decided to stick up for her and because she is now getting bullied. The bullying gets so out of control and eventually a picture gets out of Angel and Jamie. The principal tried to get them to to tell who took it but, they didn't. Jamie had an idea to get the students to tell on them selves and had actually worked. Vanessa (Angel's bully; the girl who put the picture of Angel and Jamie) Were kicked of the cheer leading squad. At the end of the book Jamie's parents had talked to her about her grades and how she was failing. Jamie's parents had kicked her off the cheer leading team because of her failing grades.I like many things about the book i choose. My book was very interesting, relates to my life in a way and teaches a good lesson. I stated that my book was interesting because it had tons of drama. An example of a part with drama in it is in chapter two. A girl named Vanessa wants to be the head cheerleader but the main character Jamie is up there with her as far as her cheer leading skills. In the book Vanessa makes sure that she's the top cheerleader using her and her crew to bully a girl and Jamie. That's one part of the book that contains drama. The second reason i like this book is because it sorta relates to my life. Jamie is the younger sister who isn't at the same level as her older sister in academics. This relates to me in a way because my older Ryan is very intelligent and my mom expects me to be on the same level academically as him. The last reason i like this book is because it teaches a good lesson. In my book there was a girl named Angel. Angel was the new girl that tried out for the cheer leading squad. The main character Jamie had left cheer leading and she saw Vanessa bullying angel. Jamie had stuck up for Angel and now she was also a victim of getting bullied by Vanessa and her crew. Later on in the book Someone had took a picture of Angel and Jamie and had out it out. Because of this Jamie and Angel had it bad at school. The principal had found out and had punished the girls who were bullying them. the good lesson in this book was Doing positive things result in positive consequences and doing negative things result in negative consequences. In this book Vanessa(the girl who wanted to be the main cheer leader) an her friends who also bullied Angel and Jamie were kicked of the cheer leading team.I would recommend my book Pretty ugly. The amount of drama in this book makes me want to read what happens next. I think that anyone that loves drama and likes to read about it would love this book. I'll definitely will be reading the next book of the Buford series. This book is extremely amazing and i highly recommend you read it.

Have you ever went to a school that your sister just left or a school were people said you remind them or somebody else? If so this is the book for you! The Genre of this book is realistic fiction. The reason why I say this book is realistic fiction is because this book is about a girl named jamee that has been bullyed because she's not like verybody else like she's not as smart as the other girls that she would like to be so that she can blend in with everybody else. This story basically takes place at a high scool called Bluford High girl name Jamee wanted everybody to stop bullying her but people didn't because they kept saying that she is nothing like her sister that used to go their that her sister that used to go their was more prettier in more smarter in jamee isn't But what happen was jamee stop trying to be like the other girls in start hanging out with other people that was actually better and more intelligent than those girls that she really wanted to be like. So Jamee start to get better grades in exceed in so many classes that she turned out to be some what like her sister but not exactly like her. Then people started to think of her as a good person to just like people did too her sister when her sister went to that school. I couldn't understand why Jamee didn't start to think that the girls that she wanted to be like at first was a bad idea because of the way that they act towards people like that should've gave jamee a clue that those girls were very mean and rude people anyway. I believe that the point of view of this story is if people bully you don't try to be like the bad guys try to be something totally different just because they sound all cool in popular in stuff that doesn't mean you have to be its always better off to be yourself in not like others. The character changed in many ways one big way that I believe that jamee changed is because instead of trying to follow up behind someone else footprints which is really a bad idea she thought to herself that the girls that she wanted to be like was a very bad role model so she decided to be the people that where in her shoes before role model. I was really satisfied with the fact that jamee really started to understand that it was wrong to try to hang out with the girls that was really rude after they than laughed at her in cracked jokes about herb in she was new she didn't do anything. I truly give this book a 5 because I feel that I have been in jamees shoes once before in I truly really fell bad because this can actually happen to people in real life in its real sad to go threw that in you feel like your alone but your not. I would recommend this book to Ashanti because I know that she likes books with happy endings. So If you really like books with cool endings this is the book for You.

Pretty ugly was by far an awesome book that I ever read. There are lots of stories that I can relate to in high school and middle. It was like I was very popular at every school I went to but I always had that jealous girl on my back.‘’When I saw this book ‘’I just knew I was going like it because a lot of the things happen in this book related to me.In this story there was a girl named Jamie Wills and she was becoming a freshmen at Blue Ford high school were her big sister Darcy attended to. Also Jamie wanted to be a cheerleader and join the squad. The big problem was that Jamie was having troubles in her math class but Mrs. Guessner told Jamie to come in after school and retake her math test because order to become a cheerleader your grades have to be up to part and passing. At the first practice she saw a girl that she had not saw before and her name was Angle McAllister a new student at school. That is also trying out for the squad. It was kind of a problem because Angle was kind of shy and can’t really speak up for herself. So the queen bees of the cheerleading team took matters in their own hands and took a mean picture of Angle and started to send it to other students around the school. Jamie did not like how the other girls were treating her. So Jamie started to take up for Angle. Until coach Seville found out and told the ladies if they don’t say who did the mean thing to her they will not be no cheerleading team until someone fessed up.It will be kind of hard for Jamie to stop being friends with Angle to keep her rank with the other cheerleaders. Teens and children today are kind of messed up because they don’t want to be leaders they want to be followers. It’s also because they don’t know how to stand up for their self. They might just be scared. I think this book does a great job of show the importance of who are your friends and who is not and also trying to be a self-advocated person.I really love this book and love how the author put a lot of supporting details and making it juicy. A part of the story was sad but the other parts is waking up and smelling the coffee. The awesome part is the Jamie and all the right decision and passé her classes and did what’s right.

My fellow English teachers have been telling me how great the Bluford series is for our students for the last few years, but I've never really gotten the chance to sit down and read any of them until now. I got this one for free at a teaching event last fall, and after reading it, I can see why the students like them. The girls in this book sound just like some of the girls I've had over the years in names, actions, and speech, so realism is a high plus in the Bluford series. In this book, Jamee Wills is beginning her freshman year at Bluford High and wants to join the cheerleading squad. At the first practice, she notices that Angel McAllister, a new student at Bluford, is also trying out but is a bit awkward and shy. As a result, the queen bees begin to pick on her and eventually go as far as taking a humiliating picture of her and sending it around by phone in order to get her to quit before she even makes the team. Jamee befriends Angel and pretty quickly loses her own cool reputation by association. However, she continues to stand up for Angel until the very end of the book when the cheerleading coach finds out about the picture and tells everyone that cheerleading will be cancelled for the year if no one fesses up.It would be so easy for Jamee to walk away from Angel and join the other side just to save her reputation. However, the fact that she sticks with Angel and the fact that Jamee's best friend, Amberlyn, also stays on her side is something I really admire. Teens today need to see that standing up to a bully, whether it be someone who is going after you or someone else, is the right thing to do rather than letting the bullying continue just so that you save face. I think this book does an awesome job of showing the importance of being an advocate for the victim rather than a bystander. It's also great that Jamee isn't a perfect character (she's failing math and is constantly disappointing her parents) because the kids can see her as one of themselves and not just some perfect hero who saves the day. They can relate to her, and that makes her real and somebody who they can enjoy reading about.

What I liked about this book was that it has interesting things in it and its realistic fiction so some of the things in this story you can relate to because it helps you deal with your problems . It also gives you real ideas about being in high school and how serious high school is. that a good thing because you get a heads up about all the activities their and the classes. This book is just like all the other books but with new characters in each story . I would recommend this book to my friend Biana but she has a lot of drama going on in her life because shes in high school now she has many classes to take and the student break them selfs up as friends and she didn't know what she was funny , full of drama , what table should she sit at ,or is she popular or not . SO I think that if she reads some of the Bluford books she might understand were she belongs and learn how to deal with your high school problems. you would like this book if you really love drama .I would say that jamee's mom should try to listen to jamee more because all you hear from their aunt and mom is that why cant you care more about school and be as smart as Darcey . Then you start to hear that she gets it from her father and hear jamee saying i'm not like Darcey. But i agree with jamee because no one can change who you are and what you do except your self . so jamee family should stop treating her like that and acting like Darcey is a know it all person. It tells you on pages 70-78. the most challenging part in this book was for jamee because she had to go through ever one telling her to be just a little bit more like Darcey just because jamee was MORE OF THE COOL SISTER. Also jamee had her grades to worry about and cheer leading if she didn't pass all her classes she would get kicked off the team. Another thing happened a mean girl on the team took pictures of jamee and angle undressed and sent it to the whole school saying that dating .

Folan, Karyn. Pretty Ugly. Townsend Press, Inc: West Berlin, New Jersey 2011. 130 pp. ISBN: 13:978-1-59194-233-7.Gene: Fiction, YA,Rating** Pretty Ugly is the latest installment of the Bluford series. I wanted to find out what the modern day high school girl is reading so I picked this book up. Pretty Ugly is about bullying, sibling rivalry, and cheerleading, and is definitely geared toward the contemporary urban reader. I found this book to be moderately entertaining, but believed it to have very little depth. Summary: All her life Jamee has lived in the shadow of her older, very intelligent sister. Jamee struggles with school and her home life, but not with cheerleading. Cheerleading is the one thing that Jamee excels in and really enjoys doing. Tryouts for the Bluford cheerleading team begin, and Jamee meets some new girls. One, the “mean girl” who wants Jamee to be a part of her click: the other, the awkward new girl. Vanessa is the beautiful mean girl who decides that it is her mission to pick on Angel who is new in town. Because Jamee sticks up for Angel, Vanessa now wants to get Jamee to give up on the cheerleading squad. She goes so far as to send an incriminating picture of Jamee and Vanessa changing in a locker room to the whole school. While the rumors are spreading Jamee is also failing math and her parents are on her to quit cheering. But she knows if she quits, Vanessa wins. With the help of her friends, the truth comes out.Key Issues: Bullying, sibling rivalry, relationships, not giving up, believing in yourself, parental abandonment.Other interesting information: I learned that the Bluford series was developed to appeal to the intermediate to advanced reader while keeping the content appealing to a high schooler when really it is written to the 5th grade level.

Book Review Do you think that bullying is OK? Karyn Langhorne Folan, the author of Pretty Ugly, puts Angel McAllister in a very horrible situation. Jamee Wills is the only one that can stop it. When Jamee tries out for cheerleading is when all the trouble begins. Angel is a very shy girl who is pretty, wears geeky glasses, and most of all, an easy target for Vanessa Pierce. Vanessa is one of those girls who think she has control of everything and by being mean to others will make her popular. Throughout the whole book Vanessa is constantly being rude to Angel. But when Vanessa’s attitude goes too far, things get real serious, and Jamee and the cheerleading squad have to take a stand. Cyber bullying which happens during the book, isn’t something that should be accepted or tolerated at all.The genre of this book is Non-Fiction , I chose Non-Fiction because everything that happens in the book are things that have and can actually happen. Pretty Ugly is a book that is part of the BluFord Series and it is book number 18 of the series. Which means this book is the last book of this entire series. While I was reading the book I felt different emotions, the book made me feel sad because Vanessa was bullying Angel. It also made me feel happy since the girls found a way to end what Vanessa was doing. I recommend this book to anyone who likes stories about peoples life and learning a lesson throughout the story.

I think this book teaches a very good lesson to people that doesn't listen to others and only care about the bad things that are happening. Jamee had always been compared to her sister, Darcy because Darcy is always into work and Jamee has bad grades a year long and doesn't do anything about it. She fails a math test but she doesn't retake it because she wants to be nice and help out a friend in her cheerleading squad. Jamee is conceded about her friend, Angel alone in the team. Angel thought of quitting because a mean girl is on the team also. Her name is Vanessa. Vanessa sends a photo that has Jamee and Angel in it to everyone in school. Jamee fixes it by skipping the math test and helping her friend. She stands up to Vanessa because the cheerleading teacher already knows about the picture. Vanessa gave in and so did her friends that had her back. Jamee never really wanted trouble. So she tried solving it calmly and not the way she would end up losing. Now that Vanessa is out of the group, everyone can cheer in peace. This book isa good lesson for bystanders and stand up to bullies and stop the bullying that they see. Unlike what Vanessa's friends did.

    1) I liked this book because it was full of action and dialoge. They say all the dialoge and describe the action. For example, on page 64, they write out everything that people say.Another example is on page 135, they explain with details what people are doing.2) You would like this book if you like action, dialoge, and drama. You would like this book if you like action, drama, or dialoge because this book is full of crazy drama and lots of action. For example, there is one of the pages where they write down the sound of the emotion. That part was suspenseful.3) One challenge in this book was when people kept on repeating what other people said. This was challenging because I had to read it a few times to know who said what. The way the characters talk go me confused and it was challenging.4) I would describe Vanessa as a liar and a person that is not a good friend because she send out a picture of Jamee and tried to blame it all on Tasha. She is not a good friend because she always use her friends to humiliate them in public. For example Vanessa used Tasha for her phone to take pictures of Jamee and lied to every one and said it was Tasha when it was her.

Plot and character development are flat as a pancake. Not up to the high standards of today's writing. Has the blandness of books written in the 70s. I highly recommend teens skip this series and instead look into Sharon Draper, Walter Dean Myers and Jacqueline Woodson.

This book was a good book because it showed a perspective of how people feel when they are being bullied and how people watched can help. Jamee Wills doesn't like how the popular girl, Vanessa Pierce and her cronies treat a shy girl named Angel McAllister. The popular girls, Jamee , and Angel all try out for cheer leading but the things the girls say discourage Angel which makes Jamee decide to become friends with her. When Vanessa notices Jamee hanging out with Angel they begin to pick on her and spread rumors that could hurt her reputation. Coming along with her school problems, she has issues with her parents and she doesn't know how to express her feelings to them about how she feels about cheer leading. Her grades has become a huge issue to her parents and they try to force her to quit the best thing that may have happened to her.I recommend this book to all grades because it teaches the importance of bullying.

In the novel Jamee meets a new student named Angel and Jamee friends her but,a group of girls named vanessa,Tasha,Kym start being very cruel to angel and jamee sticks up for Angel every time the 3 girls bother Angel, but it suddenly turns ugly when one of the 3 girls take a false photo of Angel and Jamee. It's really a good book i hope you enjoyed my book review.
