I love the artwork of CLAMP. You won't be disappointed reading this series. The plot is good too. So far there is a lot of mystery behind the characters. Also, I am a little worried because Kobato has a lot of hearts to heal before this is all over. Her jar is still really empty and there are only four more volumes left!

It was so cute! After reading the first one, I had to get the whole series! I love them. I love how energetic and passionate she is about everything in this one. I can't wait to get to the next.~Kit

A bit stronger than the first volume. Still nowhere near their best work, but the plot is beginning to coalesce and I'm starting to get a little bit of a Yotsuba vibe off it, which is never a bad thing

Story is developing and becoming more solid. Kobato is super adorable and she tries so hard to do so much good. I'm giggling inside because Chi and Freya have Chi- names (Chiho and Chise).

It is really just so pretty:3 I could read it forever. This is one of their shorter series's, and I'm going to be sad to see it end

NOTE: I'm basically writing this as I read it so be prepared for it to make NO sense at all. I'll revise later. Sorry! >.<*****************************************************************Kya~! Kobato tries so hard and it's super cute!Anyone think she looks like Sakura? (tsubasa)I mean, look at this pic! if you take away the longer part of her hair she totally looks like Sakura! And her hair is a sakura! But in CiW2 her hair was brown...hmm I g2g watch that again.Maaya Sakamoto is <3!****CHII! FREYA!!! CHII~ CHII~ CHII~ Ahem. Well they're names are Chise and Chiho but they are just as cute! wai~! >_<*****Ohhh okies. The CiW2 Kobato was based on Chapter 3's splash page (Chapter 2's splash page was seen on a CLAMP member's desk in the month of January cause she was working on it. It was Mokona's desk!)and in this splash page her hair is brown. Why they change it? Idc though, pink or brown they both suit Kobato. Cept brown looks even MORE like Sakura.*******Aha! The true color of her hair IS....dun dun da!.... A BROWNISH PINK! yep yep. Totally true. Look at chapter 3's color pages! :D Why is Fujimoto's hair pink though? He's a GUY!******First page of Chapter 4.....XD THAT'S THE MOST HILARIOUS THING EVER!*starts rolling around on the floor laughing her head off.*******something written on the credits page that said "we don't want our favorite artists on the street do we?" Are you kidding me? CLAMP must be like millionaires already! Or maybe all those art supplies cost a lot. I sure wish I had art supplies like that. But then I wouldn't know the first thing about them!*********Fujimoto-san has half of Syaoran-kun's hair but face is WAY different. There's only one of Syaoran-kun (er...2) and he's the bestest! (no wait...3 Syaoran-kun?) Let's count off!:Li SyaoranLi Syaoran Jr. (the son)Li Syaoran Jr. (the clone)hmm, but his name isn't really "Syaoran" sooo....idk...I confuzzled.******LOL at Kobato's drawing! "Bizarre Unidentified Lifeform"XD******me tired now. me gonna stop writing notes and enjoy Kobato.oh, and since I'm having so much fun I gonna give it 5 stars cause it's a fun book! ^^

I read this volume at the same time as the first volume of this series & I have to admit, I wasn't quite sure if I'd like it or not. The first volume was nice, but just seemed to lack substance. This volume finds a bit more plot coming into play, so it's giving me a little more hope for the series.Kobato's quest is far from over, but now that she's got her bottle she is a little bit closer to earning her wished for journey. Unfortunately she hasn't learned all that much when it comes to common sense, so most of her attempts to find people to help ends with Kobato being turned away or potentially abducted. She finally manages to land a job at a floundering kindergarten where Fujimoto (a boy she meets in the first volume) also seems to work at. Managing to make some progress on her quest, all seems bright for Kobato until she runs across a loan shark who demands that she tell the kindergarten's owner that she better pay up... or else.I liked that there was more of a plot to this volume & that Kobato seems to be making some progress when it comes to her quest. I also liked that there was a bit of development when it comes to what might become a potential love triangle between Kobato, Fujimoto & the owner of the kindergarten. Of course the artwork in this volume is still fantastic & the characters are all very cute, but the series still has a way to go before it can really be compared to some of CLAMP's other works.Like some of the other reviewers have said, this isn't quite a five star book just yet. It is closer to one than the first volume was, but it just doesn't seem to capture me & draw me entirely into Kobato's world. I still have hope though- this is CLAMP, after all & excellence is common for them.

So, while the first volume established basic premises, the cast of characters, and locations, this second volume is really where the main story gets going. We still have plenty of unanswered questions, especially the big, juicy ones like “Why can’t Kobato remove her hat?” and “Where does Kobato want to go?” and...well, all my big questions center around Kobato, but there's enough else going on that I’m plenty happy waiting for the answers. In general, I’m loving this manga, no complaints or criticisms to share (though I still haven’t gotten used to the super skinny, tall bodies that all the characters, especially the adults, have, but that is so consistently and well done that it’s clearly a style choice and not an anatomical blunder) so I shall continue onto volume 3!

Belum lagi salah satu tokoh yang menurutku terlalu 'lebay', tapi setelah memasuki buku ketiganya, akhirnya plot mulai terbaca, meski misteri siapa itu Kobato masih belum terbuka. Menjelang akhir, bukunya seru lho. Terutama buku kelima dan dipuncaknya, buku keenamnya. Seru! Dan seperti biasa, artwork dari CLAMP jelas terlihat di sini. Cantik-cantik. Belum lagi muncul cameo dari buku-buku CLAMP yang lainnya. Bikin bacanya jadi nostalgia sendiri. Worth to read! ;)

In this volume it starts to go into the actual plot of the story where you see Kobato begins to collect some healed hearts. I have a question of why does Kobato never taker hat off? Is it some big secret it was starting to remind me Edd from Ed, Edd, an Eddy where double D never took his hat and never knew what was really underneath. I get the feeling that there is a reason why she has it on which will be revealed later on in the series!

So the storyline picks up and isn't so much about trying for the quick laugh anymore. Well mostly.Kobato finds a place, and a mission in helping at a kindergarten. We start to see the deeper characterization of the those around her, especially in regards to Fujimoto (yay!) Maybe this one is worth reading after all. Now to track down book 3!

More layering and character development here, and Kobato, while still making silly mistakes, begins to learn from them, while Ioryogi-san discovers an old mysterious rival. I'm not quite sure yet if he is indeed a dog (stuffed dog?) or a god/deity/spirit but I am sure all will be revealed in time. An intriguing manga.

The main two reasons I am reading this series: available to borrow at the public library and it is written by Clamp. Like Watase-sensei reading Clamp is mixed bag of nuts. Liked to loved: Card Captor Sakura, Magic Knight Rayearth, Clamp School Detectives, holic, Wish, and Chobits. Jury still out on: Tsubasa, Tokyo Babylon, RG Veda, X, Clover and Legal Drug.

What's not to love about Kobato? If you're looking for a fluffy, light-hearted series that you can breeze through, with endearing characters, redemption in love, and also the "oh snap, what" CLAMP-ness, then this is the series for you. That, and the art is absolutely BEAUTIFUL.
