One More Night Reviews

4.5 "One More Night" StarsOn her last night in Stockholm on a business trip, Alice meets Jonas. He's an author she doesn't know much about other than his writing of course. When they meet, the pull between them leads Alice to throw caution to the wind and spend on night of freedom with this gorgeous man. But as their night winds down, it begins to seem like more but more really isn't possible. At least, she thinks. With a mature, erotic storyline, Ms. Hunter writes the perfect story for someone looking for a short, episode with a beginning middle and end all in one little package. It reminds me of a serial but without the cliffhanger and more poetic prose. The build up of tension kept me on the edge of my seat and their time together was super sexy. I would have loved more of them opening up to each other but am hopeful that as this series plays out, we'll get to know more about the mysterious Jonas. ***edited to add*** The series is now complied into one bookARC provided for honest review.

Although very well written, I found “One more Night” a bit slow-moving partially due to the substantial amount of internal dialogue throughout the novel. The lengthy separations between the main characters, in both time and distance, only added to considerable periods where not much occurred. Over the course of the novel the lead characters are together less than a month with each subsequent reunion feeling stilted and awkward. The discomfiture of every encounter may have impeded my ability to become totally invested in the relationship. I often found myself confused by both protagonist’s thoughts, emotions and actions which frequently lead to frustration and hindered any real character connection. The cognitive state of both lead characters with continual thoughts of inadequacy, self-doubt, childhood issues and self-imposed isolation warranted therapy that neither received. The intimate encounters also appeared a bit outdated, perhaps for a period when sexual inhibitions were more commonplace or maybe written for a much less adventurous audience. Overall “One More Night” is well written and has potential but missed the mark with several essential story elements.***I voluntarily received an ARC copy of this book in exchange for my honest review. ***

I loved this book! Honestly, I wasn't expecting to love it as much as I do. But its such a bittersweet love story. And the characters are well written, realistic and believable. Its definitely not the typical contemporary romance novel, but I appreciate that a lot. I love how honest and open Jonas and Alice are with each other. Their relationship has ups and downs, lots of struggles but they build something strong and beautiful.

Alice is settling down for a meal at a pub in Stockholm when a man approaches her. He introduces himself as Jonas Hällström, an author whose manuscript she happens to be looking at. What at first seems like a sexy and intense man hoping to convince Alice to buy his book, turns out to be much different. In fact, Alice caught Jonas’s eye at a book expo earlier that day, so when he sees her at the pub, he’s eager to meet her. Thus begins their passionate love affair that spans three countries and several months.Jonas is a romantic yet tortured hero with little faith in himself and Alice is just going through the motions of life, afraid of trusting the wrong man. Common sense is telling them that getting involved isn’t right, but their chemistry is too intense to fight. The characters are likable, but both have troubled pasts that are still somewhat in the dark to the reader even by the end of the book. The segues from each portion of the story are awkward and leave the reader with a lot of questions of what happened in the interim. It doesn’t detract from the romance and intimacy of the story, but it interrupts the flow and experience of getting to know the characters. And by the ending, I was left feeling a little unsure of their future. A more thorough/concise epilogue may have changed that. Despite some issues with the format, the book is a nice change from the typical ‘ex-con pursues good girl’ trope and is definitely worth the read.I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Received this book for my honest review. This book is for 18+ and not for the faint of heart. The whole book is pretty much sex. The reason for the 4 stars is because there are a few gaps that make the book a little bumpy reading. We know that Jonas is a bad guy turned good and Alice is a straight-laced corporate type and we get a glimpse of their background but it isn't developed very well. It is just told to let us know why they are the way they are. They have one night in Stockholm and they decide to meet up in Paris to have another "one more night". You see that Jonas is falling hard for Alice and isn't sure how to handle it and Alice is trying very hard not to open her heart. Jonas goes with Alice's book company and they almost didn't have their "one more night". The book is heartbreaking and a book I couldn't put down. I read it in 2 hours. I will absolutely read more books by this author.

👍👍A great couple in a moving and well-written love story. I adore stories with international settings, especially those set in countries where I have lived or visited. I really felt I was back in Paris and Stockholm while reading One More Night. Jonas, the hero, seems to be trying his hardest to become a better man and his meeting and subsequent continued contact with Alice gives him added incentive. Alice, on the other hand, is living in fear of repeating the mistakes of her mother and holding on to her bitterness against a profligate father. In giving in to their attraction, Jonas and Alice have to decide whether their pasts will dictate their future. A realistic and profound recounting of the fears and joys of living and letting love in with a winning conclusion.:-)I received a complimentary advance copy of this book; this is my voluntary and honest review.

I really enjoyed all the individual stories in this series. New that they are all collected in one volume, you can find out what harms next without having to wait for the next installment. Still, I'd suggest reading this in chunks, since they are meant to be self contained... give yourself an evening to think about how their relationship might go next. It's well written, and the different venues and tunes for each episode make it flow more naturally than other stories where a whole relationship gets packed into a week. Plus, the characters are pretty spectacular.I received an ARC for an honest review.

Amazing awesome stories. If they promise each other one night, will either of them be able to stop. Will one night be enough. Alice and Jonas meet in Stockholm and their instant attraction is strong for them both. They are from different sides of the world, they agree they will share one night and end it there. But they cannot deny the feelings that keep building, neither of them are able to turn it off. Read One More Night to learn all about their time together and how both want to have kept it at one night, but love takes over when you least expect it.

This book is quite intriguing. Jonas is a changed man. He has done some unsavory things in the past and is now making amends. He meets Alice in Stockholm on her last night where they agree to meet each other in Paris. The magnetism between the two is great and they are drawn together. Being a Book Editor, Alice reads Jonas book when he comes to New York to get it published and has to make a decision as to whether she wants to be a part of his life based upon his dealings in the past. Talk about your moral dilemma!

Hot, intense, and honest! This is the compiled, complete version of the One Night serial. I loved the honest, intense characters and their scorching hot rendesvous. It is the perfect travel fling fantasy. A smart woman meets a hot, mysterious writer on a business trip to Stockholm, and they have a wild fling. They talked together about deep things as well. They hit it off so well that they met again in Paris and elsewhere. The writer has the body of a boxer and a dark past. She also has a past she is hiding. I really enjoyed this novel-length erotic romance.

Alice went to Stockholm on an assignment, but when she meets the mysterious and intriguing author Jonas, she sees something in him that draws her to him. This broken, tortured man with a scarred past is nowhere ready to join the rest of society, preferring his solitude. But Alice finds a way to break through his defenses, despite her fears and misgivings. Their chemistry together was heated and sensuous. I really enjoyed reading as Jonas found a way to see that he could be redeemed and that Alice helped him find his self worth.

First, I would love to give this a 4.5, but Goodreads doesn't seem to have any half way marks. Second, wow, what a dark twisted romantic story Rebecca Hunter has given the reader, about the struggles of a couple who are searching for some meaning and truth about who they truly are, inside and out, in their combined lives. It may have started as just a wish for one more night, but it certainly developed into so much more. The suffering and heartache was so vividly presented by the author. I am volunteering to leave a review for an ARC of this book from Hidden Gems. I absolutely loved, loved, loved this book. The writing was utterly fantastic. Jonas and Alice both, have issues in their lives. They are broken! Jonas, more so than Alice. Will they be able to make each other complete? You must read to find out. There are ups. There are downs. Jonas and Alice are amazing characters. This is a Must Read at Least Two Times! Rebecca, Standing O!

This book is set up in four parts, each one in a different city with a different feel to it. In each one, Jonas and Alice get to know each other in new ways. The third part, One Night in New York, is my favorite. I love the way Rebecca Hunter weaves so much about the characters in each part. There's no crazy melodrama, even though Jonas's background is pretty rough. He's super sexy and feels very real. I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Alice is in Stockholm for work where she meets Jonas. Alice is a book editor and Jonas an author. They share one steamy night together before she must leave, but meet again days later in Paris. Both have pasts they don’t want to share. Will they be able to move forward? Intense, steamy and so emotional. I was hooked from beginning to end. A good read.

This was a unique read and the characters secrets weren't fully explained. Jonas is an ex-con who is an author. Alice has come to Stockholm to meet Jonas and talk to him about publishing his book. There is an instant attraction but they both know it can last more than a night. Steamy and well written. My honest review is for a special copy I voluntarily read.

"I’ve messed up so much in my life. I want to get something right.”I loved writing this exploration of a one-night stand - under what circumstances would a normally cautious woman enter into one? What happens if it goes really, really... right? This book will be released in both paperback and ebook on September 14 and includes the four "One Night" episodes. Enter one of the Goodreads giveaways for a signed paperback. And, as always, thanks for reading!
