Jet is one wild ride, so sit back, buckle up and hang on!It's action packed from the first page and keeps you on the edge of your seat throughout.Jet is a former operative, but it is in hiding to protect her daughter. She's a fiercely protective mother and will do anything to make sure Hannah is safe. Not only is she tough but you see her vulnerable side which brings a nice softer side to this tough girl! This story includes characters from Kim Cresswell's Whitney Steel series, and these will be familiar to fans of that series. I liked their inclusion and even the location that they travel to on their mission as it was in the latest Whitney Steel release. It was in interesting turn of events for the bad guys involved and I will be interested to see if any part of this is weaved back into the that series.I don't have any particular gripes with this except that it finished to fast, I wanted more. However, it's well written, face paced and ends with a bang!No time to have a cuppa while reading this one - 4 stars!Thank you to Kim Cresswell for providing me with a copy of her book.

It is my pleasure to feature Oblivion: A Jet Series Novella by Kim Cresswell for review on Room With Books.Oblivion was a real page turner and Ms. Cresswell was able to keep the tension heightened through the entire novella. From the introduction of a terrorist attack through tracking the people responsible, the characters are vivid and dynamic, and from my perspective, entirely believable. I'm only sorry I waited this long to read Oblivion.I truly enjoy the way Ms. Cresswell couples the characters from her previous novels, REFLECTION and RETRIBUTION, into the back story of Oblivion. I hope she writes more about Hal and Angela and their involvement with Whitney and Blake.I highly recommend Oblivion: A Jet Series Novella by Kim Cresswell and give it five nuclear cups of Room With Books coffee!© September 12, 2015Patricia, Room With Books

How can anyone go wrong with a Jet book? Impossible. I received an early release copy as part of a blog tour for Kim Creswell. Oblivion is a novella with a crossover that contained some of the characters from the Whitney Steel books and Russell Blake's Jet. This mini book packs a ton of action and a great story. Hal and Angela, FBI agents from the Whitney Steel books are directed by their boss to "recruit" Jet to help them with a very critical mission in Columbia. There has already been a nuclear attack at one of the nuclear plants in the U.S. with many fatalities and intel says that more are to come. Chambers' intel says that the next one is coming from Columbia where terrorists have joined up with one of the drug cartels to deliver a nuclear bomb to the U.S. The goal is to get Jet to use her connections and knowledge from her time working for the Mossad in Columbia. Jet is very low-key now and has good reason to be, she now has a young daughter so she tries to stay hidden from her enemies. Jet never disappoints. Her character is dynamic, strong, both mentally and physically and even though it seems that you should not root for her it cannot be helped. Now, Angela and Hal are no slouches and they are fresh out of a mission in Columbia where there are bad memories of fighting and loss. They make a great team with Jet and I look forward to reading more of the Jet books and the Whitney Steel books. When I read a book, I like to look and see how long it is before I start. I will admit that many novella-length books that I have read have left me disappointed because the author is better suited to a longer format and the story seems truncated and rushed, so I prepared myself for the worst. I was disappointed with this book, too.... because I wanted more story! Not because the story offered was thin but because Kim Cresswell has managed to tell a full-length, beginning-middle-end story within the confines of a novella. I did feel, at times, that I had missed something -- a previous book in the series, perhaps -- because characters were introduced off screen, so to speak, and it felt like I was supposed to know who they were.I really enjoyed the characters of Hal, Angela, and Jet. The author has done an excellent job of giving each character quirks and idiosyncrasies that make them more believable as people, and that is what sells me in a book. I am very interested to see if there are other books in this world so that I might get to know these characters better. There is actually no romance to this novella; the characters come together to perform a job, and then they part ways. I found that somewhat refreshing. However, there are some disturbing scenes involving terrorism and the characters being in peril, so I hesitate to recommend the book to anyone under 15. Very enjoyable book!Reviewed by HR Duby for Paranormal Romance and Authors That Rock

SNS Rating: 4.0~~~~~~~~~~Lillian's ★★★★ Review~~~~~~~~~~An enjoyable read that is well written and very current to what is happening in the world today. A team is assembled to stop a dirty bomb from been detonated in the US, they all know what needs to be done but that doesn't make it any easier. Jet was not happy to be part of the team, she just wants her daughter Hannah safe so she knows that they keep her safe until Jet makes it back if she makes it back. Angela & Hal have worked together before and I get the feeling that Angela cares for Hal more than a friend should. They are sent into Colombia to destroy the bomb before it makes its way into the US, things don't go exactly as planned so they make the best of the situation. Will the 3 of them make it back home and will Jet get to be with her daughter again? A great short story that kept you interested and turning the pages to see what was coming to happen next. And it has no sex which makes it a different read more focus on the characters & their job. I will be looking at Kim's other books as I enjoy her style of writing.

This an enjoyable read for me. The explosive first chapter got my attention with the terrorist attack at a nuclear plant and the looming threat of another attack sends Agents Decker and Donahue to seek out Jet, a former MOSSAD agent who is now in retirement and taking care of her daughter. She doesn't want to get involved but the threat to her daughter is real and she will do anything to protect the child. This is a good story and well written. There are bad guys and terrorists, explosions and kick-ass agents fighting to save innocents lives. There were moments where my attention drifted and I put the book aside. But I was intrigued by the overall plot and wanted to find out how things ended. Happy to recommend to fans of spy action thrillers.

I received a copy of Oblivion in exchange for an honest review from Hurricane Readers Review Group. I really enjoy Kim Cresswell's writing. She is detailed enough for the reader to get the picture without going overboard. This was a quick, exciting read that I couldn't put down. I loved reading more about Hal after reading the first two books in the Whitney Steel series. I'm glad I read this after the second book because it is set in time after what happened in Columbia during that book and gives some spoilers if you haven't read that series yet. I am going to look into more of Kim Cresswell's work since I have enjoyed these books and look forward to reading more from her.

Jet Oblivion is a fast-paced action novella featuring Jet from Russell Blake's Jet series. This time she teams up with the FBI to stop a second terrorist attack on the United States. The story kept me on the edge of my seat because this is just the kind of thing I worry could happen here. If you're looking for more of what you loved about the original Jet series, you'll like Oblivion.

Full of action and no sex which was great as the story was more focused and the event is very current and could happen anywhere & anytime. Can 3 people work as a team and find a dirty bomb before it is too late. Can't wait to read some of Kim's other books. I received a copy in exchange for an honest review

I am a huge fan of the Whitney Steel novels by Kim Cresswell and I loved the idea of some of the characters merging with another high-octane character in the JET series. This concept was very interesting to me. I loved it. I really loved the JET character. She is a one of the most deadly operatives yet she has a vulnerable side that balances the tough, deadly assassin persona. She is trying to raise her young daughter in peace only to get pulled into a mission that she cannot refuse. This story is so intense sometimes I had to remind myself to breath. The details in this book are amazing. The author really did her research in weapons. The characters had a great chemistry which really made the story come to life for me. I really can't wait to read more from Kim Cresswell and more in the JET series. If you are a fan of Robert Ludlum's Jason Bourne series and you are in for wild ride in this exciting, emotional and thrilling roller coaster ride. Great book!
