She shows off what her mother gave her in a scantily clad uniform, getting big tips at the restaurant where she works. Then, she encounters an old classmate with educational ambitions who invites her to his church, and she finds herself falling for him despite the fact that they come from two different worlds. Stuart Jacobs had always had feelings for Claire in high school, but never pursued her because his extracurricular activities would not permit him the time to have a relationship…nor was he her ideal. Now his mother is adamant on him meeting and pursuing a relationship with the daughter of a highly esteemed mayoral candidate, but after running into Claire after graduation, he sees it as fate and will stop at nothing to be with her. However, when he finds himself competing with a friend for her attention, she becomes the talk of every concerned mother at Renewal Baptist Church. Meanwhile, Cecelia Faulks, First Lady of Renewal, is dedicating her summer to instilling faith and wisdom into a group of young adults, all while trying to keep the church and her marriage together with a smile. Cecelia sees the bond forming between Claire and Stuart and tries to talk down the bad rumors swirling about her, but when the rumors are confirmed, will it be too late to change for the girl who was all about her thighs?...

all about her thighs Reviews
Overall, a good story!I enjoyed the story. It kept me engaged from start to finish. The storyline was believable, characters relatable. I especially identified with Claire. Can't wait to get the next installment. My only criticism is the editing....could have been more thorough.
urban setting, hip hop languageMain character has a strong work ethic. opposite of body shaming-- she has pride in her appearance. Her beauty/attitude is rewarded when she become a major model. issue of church leaders not following the edicts of church and how behavior is revealed and punishedenjoyed the characters. Would recommend to any 8th grader and above.
Ok bookNot my type of story maybe at another time will read other books by this author. Lots of characters but not sure how they all fit
SlowIt was a decent book. I think it started off slow the sped up in the end. It probably should have been a part 2
I almost messed up with this book. I originally had it as a book club suggestion for my Church women's group. NO!!!!!!!!! Luckily, I scanned the book first. Though none of the language is out right filthy by my standards there are some discussions and situations that may be a little strong. The ironic thing about that is the book is centered around a church and its members specifically its young adults and focuses on how they are dealing with life and their spirituality. I really enjoyed it and think it is a worthy read.
