Well I hated this book. At 88% of the book the hero was still in love with his ex fiancé and declaring his undying love for the cheating whore telling her to leave her current fiance and to marry him while he's fuck buddies with the heroine she said no and he goes and gets drunk and has a whore giving him a blow job the heroine sees this and she helped him get cleaned, he tells her that she's the only one who can make him forget so he fucks her really this woman doesn't have self respect I mean she saw him getting a blow job, she saw his dick full of the OW's saliva. NASTY!!!! And she let him stick his dick on her and I didn't even read if he used protection at this point I was skimming really fast so I could be done this shit. Really this was too much for me I thought he had moved on from his ex when I started this book but at 88% and still crying like a little bitch over his ex is too much for me.

4 STARS ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️*I did not read book one* This was an emotional read for me. The subject matter, the writing, the characters were all moving and I was constantly in a state of emotion (sad, happy, frustrated, laughing) throughout the book.Being inside Sebastian's head and thoughts was so moving. I felt for him. I wanted to fix things for him (I hated Ava and what she did to him!) but most of all I wanted him to see himself the way I did. His struggles and pain were so real but he was so strong. He was such a good man. There were a few things that were frustrating for me during my read - some things were just personal preference and others would most likely annoy/bother others - and sadly it took away from my overall enjoyment at times. But I still loved the writing and the story. I highly recommend this book.

Disclaimer: I received an ARC ecopy in exchange for nothing more than an honest review. All thoughts and opinions expressed in this review are entirely my own.Oh... My... Gosh...I read Look After Me straight after reading Look After You. I'm so glad I did. Now I just wish I had book 3!! *stares at Elena* (is it finished yet? how about now?) ;)In Look After Me we get to see and experience Sebastian's life.We join Sebastian as he leaves rehab; after falling back into old habits of taking Cocaine. He was hoping cocaine would help him escape the feelings of heartbreak that Ava caused.Sebastian's counsellor Addison has offered to help Sebastian with his rehab as she understands how he is feeling having been there herself. She gives Sebastian her number and tells him to call if he needs anything. Sebastian is feeling really weak, low and pretty worthless. He's angry and filled with hate. But he's trying to be a better person, trying to stay clean and get back on track. When he's cleaning out his place he finds a jacket that belongs to his old dealer, as he moves it a bag of coke falls on the floor. Suddenly the cravings increase and Sebastian is both tempted and scared. He calls Addison, she talks him down and says she's on her way over. Sebastian sees a photo of Lily-Mai and finds the courage to dispose of the coke. This incident sees the start of Sebastian and Addison's friendship. The question is is friendship enough? Will Sebastian learn to open up and let Addison in? Can Addison cope with helping Sebastian to fight his inner demons? Can friendship help to heal the heart? This book is packed full of so many emotions. As a reader you literally feel every ounce of Sebastian's anger, hurt, betrayal, heartache and hope.Sebastian grows and develops with each and every page, his weaknesses make him stronger. His personality becomes stronger and as it does he will capture your heart. Addison is amazing, her strength and courage are astonishing, where a lesser person would have walked away she sticks by him, she truly is inspirational.Sebastion and Addison have a friendship that develops slowly into something more. It was nice to read a relationship that has begun as friends and with openess and honesty from the start.Elena has done an outstanding job of portraying the feelings of these amazing characters. Elena's writing style is exceptional and her ability to draw the reader in and to make the reader feel the emotions of the characters is second to none!!I have loved each and every minute of Look After Me and I cannot wait for book 3. (Is it done now??) ;)It goes without saying that Look After Me recieves a whoping 5* from me!!!If you are yet to read these book I seriously do recommend getting yourself a copy and some tissues!!!

**REVIEWED ON BEHALF OF YOUR NEXT HOT READ**I was kindly given an ARC of this book in return for an honest review. If you have ever had your heart broken or supported an addict then you will instantly connect with Sebastian. I did on both counts. The book opens on Sebastian fresh out of rehab after breaking under the strain of his heartache inflicted by Ava leaving him for Dr Bailey. You literally feel his heartache and his anger at their betrayal which is all credit to Elena Mathews great writing. Sebastian feels weak, tortured and worthless but is determined to turn his life around and with the help of his support worker, Addison, you are desperate to see him reclaim his life and self worth. I love the gradual build up in the relationship with Addie. It was great that it wasn't this typical 'love at first sight' but a slow build of friendship based on the foundations of support and caring.I can't emphasise how refreshing it was to read about a couple who are open and truthful, talking through their issues and expectations of one another. I absolutely love Sebastian, but I don't think I've felt for a woman like I did for Addison. How hard it must have been for her knowing that the root of Sebastian's issues is his inability to get over Ava. Addison is so forgiving and caring that the title 'Look After Me' is just perfect! But she also has a spark and strength that I admire greatly.I loved all the secondary characters in Grace, Carter and even Jacob the man whore! I actually choked up a few times reading this novel and one of the most touching lines of dialogue comes from Sebastian's father. You'll know the one I mean when you read it. I felt the research done for this book was thorough and accurate giving you a real insight into drug addiction, rehab and the mental scars left from a drug problem that don't heal without help. If you were left feeling as bad as I did for Sebastian at the end of 'Look After You' then you have to read this sequel. It totally surpassed my expectations. 5 shiny gold stars from us!**REVIEWED ON BEHALF OF YOUR NEXT HOT READ**

I was given this ARC in return for a honest review. This is the second book in the Look After You series, however it gives the reader enough backstory that this could be read as a standalone book. I would also like to say that I did not read the first book and was somewhat hesitant reading book 2. However I am so glad that I did. Our story starts with Sebastian, a Army Vet who came home from Afghanistan and found out that his fiancée and mother of this child, fell in love with another man. Not just any man but the doctor who helped save his premature daughter a few months back. With his heart broken, Sebastian turns back to his old habits and quickly uses and becomes addicted to cocaine to help deal with his heartbreak. All he wants to do is just forget. With help from friends, he is forced into rehab where he must attend meetings and try to make progress in regaining his old life back. Fresh out of rehab, his main goal is to get clean, try to win back his ex and get his old life back. But dealing with a crippling addiction and a broken heart becomes to much for Sebastian. With help from Addison, his counselor, he slowly starts to deal with his cravings. However the last thing that Sebastian wanted was to become attracted to her. Addison, who we learn has also struggled with addiction in the past, becomes a beckon of hope for Sebastian. She goes above and beyond the call of duty to try and save Sebastian. By compromising her job, Addison soon starts to build a friendship with him and tries to get him to open up and realize that life goes on but what she doesn't expect is to become attracted to him. Both characters soon start a taboo "Friends with Benefits" relationship because according to both, neither one wants or believes in love. Each agree that when either one starts to feel any different their relationship must stop. But what happens when one starts to actually have feelings for the other? Can they be together or will their past haunt them forever? We as readers are taken on this heartbreaking journey of two characters who have horrible addictions. At certain parts I could literally feel my heart breaking for Sebastian. Coming home from serving overseas and finding out that the one girl you truly loved is gone and into the arms of another man. And you can't do a damn thing about it must be horrific. I loved how strong Addison was and how healing she was towards Sebastian. She tried her hardest to open his eyes and show him that he was worthy of love. She was willing to loose her job and suffer her own heartache in order for Sebastian to open his eyes and see that not everything is so bad. On a personal note, I know what it is like to love someone with addictions and how at some point you feel helpless. So I admire not only Addison but also the supporting characters in their efforts to support and give encouragement to Sebastian. Without constant support and encouragement a addict can easily fall back to their old ways. Or as my husband would say "Once a addict. Always a addict". Ms. Matthews did a spectacular job in writing this book. She pulls the reader in and makes them fall in love with both Sebastian and Addison. So far this has to be one of my favorite books that I have had the pleasure reading and reviewing. My only wish (HINT, HINT, HINT) would be a small novella where we can get a glimpse in Sebastian and Addison's future. This is a 5 Star read!!!!!!!!

4 ½ stars, Gifted for an Honest Review“This here is you crawling through the darkness. But I can see the light approaching. You just have to fight a little harder to get there.”This is written differently, it feels different from Look After You and I imagine that this is intentional as the subject matter is not the same, and neither is the narration. This is male POV therefore feels harsher, less emotional, despite the emotion being in every stroke of word that Elena writes. It’s a hard book to read but not as hard as I found Ava’s story to be.This is Sebastian’s story, the aftermath of Ava and it isn’t pretty. Elena writes a character that is so broken, wallowing in the depths of anger and betrayal that the reader finds it difficult to see where this man’s life will end up. His resolve is there, his faith not so much. Sebastian’s emotions are a volatile mess and his mood swings are so up and down it’s hard to see which way is up and which way is down for him. He constantly trades one addiction for another throughout most of the book….drugs, sex, alcohol, Addison. The selfishness in his actions is not glossed over. If there was one thing I didn’t like in this story it was Sebastians hatred for Ava. Whilst I understood it I found it difficult to come to terms with as I had already fallen in love with Ava and her story. So for me this didn’t quite have the same impact as her previous book.Addison is pivotal to Sebastians recovery, whether he sees that or not. The reader can see it clear as day but he continues his path of destruction until it is all but too late for the HEA we all crave for him. There are points in this story that had me almost gripping my hair in frustration with Sebastians actions. But they are processes he had to go through in order to climb out of his hole and learn to live without Ava. Gah, Addison took so much, rightly or wrongly, she fell in love with a man incapable of giving her his heart. What happens is inevitable and so very sad. Elena delivered powerful punches with emotional scenes that really do dig into the readers’ heart, to the point where the resolve for disliking Sebastian ebbed away with each situation he tried but failed to handle.I think Addisons POV came at the right time, it’s quite far into the book but in all honesty the reader needs that break from Sebastian and his self-destruction. Whilst it’s still his story, her POV is invaluable. I found it was clever and a worthy addition.I would recommend this for sure, there’s so many moments a reader will identify with, so many moments that a reader will need a moment to compose themselves. I’m really excited for Elena as I think she has a way with words and her writing is quite flawless. Her emotional awareness and being able to drag that from readers is absolutely priceless. These books are ones to relish and Elena Matthews is one to watch in the future.

Reviewed by Susan (Ladies Living in Bookland) *************I was eagerly awaiting this arriving on my kindle and it didn't disappoint. After the brilliant 'Look After You' this follow on is from Sebestian's POV. The man who gave up his life in the army, to come back to his family, only to find his fiancé in the arms of another man. I loved Sebastian in the first book but seeing his tortuous journey from the heartbreak he's suffered and his recovery makes me love him all the more. But despite him travelling down a long dark road and facing his habit from his teenage years he meets someone who will set his life back on track. Gives him 'Strength and Courage' and so much more. ------------------------------"I understand how being hurt by the one person you loved whole-heartedly could push you over the edge. It doesn't mean you're weak. It means you're human."------------------------------But as Sebastian's counsellor (Addison) we see the boundaries were blurred as their professional relationship grew to friendship friendship and then moved into something more. And how hot that would be! To see and feel Sebastian's happiness returning was incredible...it felt as if she wasn't just helping him sigh an addiction, she was helping mend his heart.------------------------------"But that's the thing about having what you can't have, it makes you want it even more. It's human nature. It's instinct. It's frustrating."------------------------------But the loss and heartache Sebastian feels for his ex and mother to his beautiful daughter would look over him. But would it be at the cost to his future happiness? I hoped not. Desperately wanting him to get the happiness he seemed to be depriving himself. But deep down knowing they were made for one another. What a journey Sebastian takes. But can he reconcile with his anger and move on? Will Addison walk away from feeling like she lives in the shadow of another woman? When he's faced with being alone, he recognises what he needs to do. But it won't be easy.------------------------------"As long as I'm breathing I'll survive."------------------------------Another simply brilliant five star read from Elena Matthews. I couldn't put this down and just adored it. A truly talented author.

*I received this ARC in exchange for my honest review*After reading Look After You, I was excited to read Look After Me. I knew from the very first page that Sebastian was going to break my heart. And he did! Look After Me is full of pain, heartache, addiction & hope. From the first few pages.. I felt myself hating Ava! Even though I saw what she went through in Look After You.. I still hated her! How could she just cheat on him while hes fighting in the war? Really?! Ava breaking up with him sent him back to Cocaine. It was awful! He is so broken! I just wanted to hug him! He is such a sweet, caring, funny & gorgeous guy..and she just leaves him! In the last book I was trying to pick sides.. but after reading this book.. I'm on Sebastians side. How could you not be?Blurb:The moment Sebastian Gilbert watches his fiancée declare her undying love to another man, his entire life changes.Forever.Unable to cope with the loss of his fiancée, his job… his life, he turns to the one thing that will help ease the pain.Cocaine.Seven long months later…Sebastian has checked out of rehab, but after three months locked behind those doors, away from the outside world, he’s struggling to adapt to his new life. Sebastian was dumped by his fiancee while on duty with the Army in Afghanistan. I mean, really, who does that? Ava, that’s who, and Sebastian has a major hang up with her. He loves her, but wants to hate her. The only reason he even is around her is because they have a daughter together -- Lily-Mai -- and he is committed to being in Lily-Mai’s life. Sebastian has a such a hang up with his ex-fiancee, Ava that he ends up in drug rehab where he meets his new therapist, Addison. On the day that Sebastian is released from the rehab facility, Addison gives him her personal cell phone number in case he ever needs help once he’s outside again. This is definitely a very important part of the story. I felt for Sebastian from the first page. I hated Ava from the first page. Addison was neutral for awhile, but I grew to love her as the novel went on. I admire both Sebastian and Addison for working through their addictions and realizing how good life could be. As Sebastian and his sister, Grace, are driving away from the rehab facility, Sebastian sets Grace straight about how he feels about love now: “Real life doesn’t happen that way. Fictional characters get to live happily ever after, but in real life your happily ever after is short lived by a series of disappointments and betrayals. I’m the very proof of that.”Addison saves Sebastian from a major setback with his drug addiction and they start a friendship that is tough to beat. Of course, they have problems along the way and life isn’t super easy for them, but they survive. Sebastian changes his mind about the world around him and the way he’ll participate in it because of Addison:She’s giving me my life back in ways I never knew was possible. This story has a great storyline that will take the reader on an emotional journey, but it’s definitely worth the read and I recommend it to anyone looking for a solid read.

This is a story about hurt, lost and pain. For the beginning I knew this would be a hard story to read because of thing going on in my own personal life which in some ways made me connect with Sebastian even more. Sebastian is having a hard time after coming home to find his fiance is hooking up with another man. It basically cripples him. His life is soon filled with drugs and a perpetual pity party. Once again something that I fully understand. Sebastian tries to get his life together after spending three months in rehab battling his internal problems which lead to his stent in rehab. Its there he meets Addison a counselor in the center who takes a liking to him. I think she saw a lot of herself in him which is a main reason there bond was formed. Coming out of rehab Sebastian has to deal with his ex because a daughter they share together. This leads to the feelings that lead him into rehab. It's with the help of Addison that things eventually get better for him. It's not to say that it was a easy or fast process but he does get better. Addison facing her own demons in someways relies on Sebastian too. These two make quite a pair. Throughout the story you will see them come together and make things better for each other which was heartwarming at times. They have to understand themselves and each other before they can truly love someone else but in the end all things work out which definitely gives me hope for my own sad case. I loved Sebastian. He is a man that a lot of women would die to have. He' loyal to the women he loves and any women would be lucky to have someone like him in their lives. This was a really bitter sweet story. I hated his ex for what she did to him. For that youll have to read book one. This story is really sad but really great. I look forward to reading more work from Ms. Matthews

Oh the feels….This book brings from the darkest of the dark into the light again. It isn’t a easy road for Sebastian after he has his heart shattered… He dives into his old life and it takes him kicking and screaming to into rehab. He soon finds himself alone, hurt and if I’m being honest pissed at the world. He is still in love with Ava and finds comfort in his daughter Lily-Mai. Things are super rough but with the help he gets from Addison, his counselor, things are starting to look up. Addison, is the becon of light that he needs but can’t exactly see at the moment. He is so blinded by his love for another woman that he only agrees to be friends at first with Addison. Things move progressively fast and soon he finds himself falling for her. He just can’t shake his feelings and Addison has to move on… Sebastian, being the fighter he is, has some major hurdles to jump in order to prove himself again. It’s not smooth sailing by any means for him. I mean, how do you bounce back after having everything you love for 4 years taken from you? He was serving his country thinking everything was great but in reality it wasn’t. My heart seriously broke for Sebastian. I can’t even imagine being in his shoes, it has to feel like your world is crashing down and there’s nothing you can do about it. This book brings out so many emotions….seriously ugly crying, hurt, anger, pain and love. Sebastian had a long road ahead of him but thanks to Addison he was able to overcome it and live his life again. He found happiness, love and the power to heal from the ones who hurt him. Addison was the missing piece of the puzzle that his heart needed and brought the light back into his life. If you can’t tell by now, I absolutely loved this book!!!! I’d give it more than 5 stars if I could!!!

One of the only things I liked about book 1 was Sebastian, so I was happy for his book. If you want the rainbow you have to deal with the rain....and deal with the rain, he did. I loved this book, but man my fucking heart broke for Sebastian. I'm glad he finally gets his happily every after, though.Addison is a great heroine, much better than Ava's sorry ass. I love that she holds her own, but is caring and sweet; she really is selfless. Ava states Ashton is selfless in book one, but I thought he was anything but when it came to his personal life. I also admire that Addison is independent. We find out she is from a rich family, yet we never know this because she has a job as a counselor. Sebastian is a heartbroken mess, but the best kind of mess. I love, love, LOVE his character. It was a long, struggling road for him, but he makes it through. The only thing I didn't like about this story is that when these two became "friends with benefits," I felt the author turned it into a sex fest. I would have liked to see a balance between the friendship that was in the beginning of the book and their sexcapades. It's like all of a sudden, lust took over their friendship and that's all it was. However, I still really enjoyed his story. I kinda want a Grace book to see if they give Lily some siblings. I'm not sure if this is brought up in Ashton and Ava's novella, but I disliked them so much I can't bring myself to read more about the; I'd rather see a Sebastian novella than Ava.

Copy given in return for an honest review. I will admit when I got this book I thought I knew what I was gonna get, what kind of story would be in the pages but it blew all that out of the water! I love when you go into a book expecting one thing and you get something completely different. What I expected was a story of love gone wrong, a man who lost a lot in his life and found it hard. What I actually got was the story of one mans soul destroying life that was saved by the one thing he didn't expect....the love he thought he had lost. The story was gripping and when I had to put the book down (damn kids!) I was constantly thinking about it. It tore at my heart strings reading about Sebastian's life, he really did go through so much and how he managed to continue I don't know! I loved to watch him struggle with his emotions, to see him not know what to do made him feel real...made him imperfect and I loved that about him! Addison was a great, strong lead female. I love women who have a bit of strength to their personality and she had it in bucket loads. She refused to be treated less than what she deserved and was always wanting the best for Sebastian, trying to get him to take control. I don't want to tell you to much more as I don't want to give anything away....but just let me tell you that you need to read this book! It was well written and the character development was fantastic, leading to loving all the characters....well apart from Ava!! You will see why if you read it ;) Well done Elena....fantastic book!

How far can you go to let the unbearable pain of having your heart ripped out of your chest by the love of your life take you? How long will you let this pain take control of your life and hit rock bottom?Sebastian thought he had the best life ever, retiring from the ARMY and make a life with the woman that owned his heart and his baby girl, but when his face to face to the ugly truth his fiancee has cheated on him and has moved on his world comes crushing down and he's facing his poison that will make him numb his pain. After leaving rehab he is happy to have found his support and friendship in Addison, his drug counselor and now best friend.Addison knows she has broken many rules by becoming friends with Sebastian but she really doesn't care since she knows he needs her to keep surviving his struggles with his addiction and his broken heart. But can Sebastian see how Addison has been healing his heart little by little or will he let his demons destroy the only thing that can heal him?Look After Me is a different kind of story, you will find yourself reading this book being narrated by Sebastian and learning how he struggles daily on his war against his addiction. I found this book really refreshing to read how a man struggles but his not afraid to admit his fears and when he's defeated or admit he's wrong or sorry.I liked this book very much and will recommend for you guys to read it.*****Warning: Recommended for ages 18+ due to subject matters of drug abuse, violence, explicit language and sexual situations.

Book 2 in the look after you series. This is Sabastian's story...In book 1 I felt so sorry for Sabastian, when the love of his life cheated on him and left him for another man, while he was fighting for his country in Afghanistan. It was a really heart breaking read. This book was just as emotional, if not more as we get to read what is going on in Sabastian's mind and understand the heartbreak he is going through. This novel has all the feels - laughing, crying, happy, sad and swooning.Sabastian is dealing with the aftermath of the break up of his relationship, recovering from a drug addiction, trying to live as a single man and learning to be a dad to a baby girl.In this book he goes through a lot of bad downs. But when he is at his lowest along comes a guardian angel called Addison (his drug counsellor) from the rehab facility. She is the breath of fresh air just when Sabastian needs it most. They start out as friends and she helps him start to deal with his problems, soon they become closer and start having deeper feelings for each other .. but how can they have a loving relationship when Sabastian is still in love with his ex.This story has a lot of ups and downs, it keeps you on the edge of you seat wanting to know what happens next..OVERALL- An emotional roller-coaster, a great 5* read.. it did not disappoint. an awesome book by an amazingly talented author

I was given an ARC in return for my honest review. Look After Me starts off with Sebastian still not able to forgive Ava or forget what she has done to him. He feels like his world is over and is so heartbroken and tormented by it all. Sadly, he decides he can't handle it anymore and turns to cocaine. He finally realizes that this is not the answer and he needs to get clean for himself as well as his precious daughter, Lily-Mai. He decides to enter rehab and try to get clean, however, he found it hard to open up to anyone. Then, he met Addison who was his counselor, but who also wanted to be his friend. He seemed to open up to Addison in ways he didn't think he ever would again. Their relationship was so endearing and I loved their chemistry. But would he ever be able to love again? He is just trying to make it day by day without the urge to use. Yet he has Addison who is this wonderful, perfect woman, but can he really open his heart again? Elena always makes me feel so many emotions and I can always connect to the characters. This time was no different. I felt heartache, anger, pain, love, happiness, loneliness, and every other emotion that happened in the book. This is a must read for anyone who loves angst and loves to really be able to connect with the characters they are reading about.

whew...i didn't read book 1 but this book had the same amount of pain that book 1 seems to have had. this book can definitely be read as a stand alone as most of the painful stuff is relived through sebastian.in this book, we meet sebastian at the end of his rehab stint and we start to see all the pain he's experiencing. his love/hate for ava is really strong and seems to consume him. he wants to get better but has resigned himself to a lonely life of never falling in love again. once he is on the outside he realizes he isn't strong enough to fight the addiction battle on his own. enter addison...his drug counselor who becomes his personal savior. she is a quirky, strong survivor that understands where he's been and what he's going through. their chemistry is off the charts. and just when you think sebastian is getting better he hits absolute rock bottom and that scene in the book is just absolutely gut wrenching. the story is a bit predictable but it was painful to get there. the writing was really, really good. the character development was good. addison's family is awesome. caleb is awesome (i really hope we see more of him). this is a definite must-read, especially if you like an extremely angsty book.

Sebastian is retiring from the army to spend his time with his family. He has a daughter and he wants to be in her life. Sebastian finds out Ava has cheated on him and she is love with his daughters doctor. Sebastian can't handle it and tries to find a way out the only way he knows how.Drugs.He goes on a binge and nearly dies as a result. He is forced into rehab by Caleb.Sebastian is bitter, anger and wants revenge. He can't even look at Ava without getting angry. But then there's Addison, his counsellor. She becomes his friend, someone to help him forget his pain. Can Sebastian overcome his first love for Ava and move on to the love that's all consuming and the one that will last with Addison?I really enjoyed this book, we see how cheating can affect people, how it can make them do anything to just try and forget for a bit. Unfortunately for Sebastian, his way to forget was with drugs. Sebastian is a strong male character, but we also see his weakness. I find it a very attracting quality that a man has a weakness and isn't afraid to hid it. It makes them seem even stronger.Addison is a strong female lead, which I always love in books. She doesn't stand for Sebastian's shit. The story was captivating and kept me hooked from start to finish.5.0 out of 5 stars!

WOW. I've literally just devoured this book in like two hours. It was that good I couldn't put it down.We meet Sebastian in Look after you. And in this things are not good for him. He gets his heart ripped outta his chest by Ava. He basically comes back from Afghanistan to find out she's cheated on him. It makes her sound really bad but I flove Ava, I'm sorry lol.But this book.shows the aftermath of that. And Sebastian hitting rock bottom. Things just go from bad to worse, and coming back from.war that's saying something. He goes to Rehab which is where he meets are.amazingly sexy Addison. Now this is just one of my favourite characters ever. She's feisty, funny and foxy! And can sure as hell handle Sebastian.Addison sets out to be there for Sebastian, an ear a shoulder to cry on. Anything any good councillor would. But soon the lines start blurring. I'm going all girly and Sqqqquuueeeee'in just thinking of it.Elena Matthews how you are gonna top this book I don't know because I feel emotionally drained from it. But I'm willing to find out ;)

I was given a copy by the author in exchange for an honest review. At the end of book 1 I felt so bad for Sebastion. This one was just as emotional as the first one was. We get a look into Sebastian's mind and we see just what kind of pain and hell he is going through. He is dealing with his break up, drug addiction and learning how to be a father. When he meets Addison, he is at his lowest. She helps him deal with his issues, they develop a strong friendship. As time goes on they develop stronger feelings for each other. But will they be able to have a relationship when he is still in love with his ex? This is an emotional roller coaster ride, you will be kept on the edge just waiting to see what happens next. This was an amazing book and the author did an excellent job in portraying all the feelings ech charcater was feeling. I can't wait to read more from this author.Review done in conjunction with Nerd Girl Official. I will be honest here, I enjoyed this book a lot more than book 1, Look After You.This is Sebastian's story after the fallout from his break up from Ava. He is devastated, as anyone who has ever gone through a break up will understand, but he chooses a path which leads him towards self destruction.Sebastian needs help and he finds it in the form of Addison, his drug counsellor. A mutual attraction develops, but both Sebastian and Addison have baggage which prevents either of them from totally opening themselves up to the other. Can they get over past hurts and move on together, or will ghosts from the past return to destroy them forever? The story is written so well, what Sebastian goes through is written in such a way you can feel his pain coming out of the pages. The author brings his story to life and in an absolutely brilliant way.

REVIEWED BY YOUR NEXT HOT READ ~Wendy~I swear on all that is holy I loved Sebastian, he is one steaming hot, broody, inspiring man. I loved the thorough understand of a man fighting an addiction, trying to step up to the mark as a dad and become the man he knows is he when he is carrying so much emotional baggage. Plus fighting an addiction to his ex, Ava. The pain in this man is so raw on the page it is palpable. The development of the relationship between Sebastian and Addison is fantastic. They start as complete strangers, becoming support worker-addict, progressing to friends, lovers and equally. I can see what my sister kept going on about the Nutella scene. Totally smoking hot.Another amazing book in this series. I'm looking forward to Look After Us now.

LOOK AFTER ME is the second book of the LOOK AFTER YOU series. This is the story of Sebastian and his journey of love after loosing Ava, the "love of his life". I was not sure what to expect when I first started LOOK AFTER ME. I had mixed emotions. I loved him in LOOK AFTER YOU and really wanted him to fins his forever love. But as I was reading LOOK AFTER ME I really began to feel like I wanted to shake him and slap him! As the book when on, I wanted him to have his happy ending. Overall I loved the book. I kind of felt that it was a bit long and repeated his loss for Ava and his hatred for Ashton (from LOOK AFTER YOU). With that said, it still gets 4 stars from me! ~ Reviewed by Heidi Pharo

An ARC provided in exchange for an honest review.I read the first book in this series, Look After You and absolutely loved it. So, of course I was pretty excited to get to review this one as well. I couldn't wait to get my hands on Sebastian's story! My heart really broke for him and all he has had to endure. He is such a strong character though, and I loved that Addison was there for him in ways he never thought possible again. This is a really great book, and although it can be read as a standalone, I highly recommend reading Look After You first. Elena Matthews has a way with words that draws you in and makes you never want to leave her books!

SNS Rating: 5.0~~~~~~~~~~Lindsey's ★★★★★ Review~~~~~~~~~~The second book in the series was as good as the first. I love books that have a serious story to them. These books are definitely not for younger readers. This author needs to be checked out by any reader of romance.~~~~~~~~~~Val's ★★★★★ Review~~~~~~~~~~Sometimes the second book in a series can fall below expectations but not this book!! This book was even better than the first one, the emotions stayed raw and real throughout the entire book! The book takes you down a path of pure darkness only to come out stronger in the end. I could not put this book down!

4.5 star Read! What can I say that hasn’t already been said about this great book? This is a book that will pull at your heart and make you want to ease the pain of Sebastian. There is a Sebastian in all of us. How many times have we face heart break with drowning our sorrows in one form or another. Sebastian finds his strength in an unlikely friendship. However, will this friendship be enough or will it grow into something else? I really enjoyed this book. This is an awesome read and you love every page of it! I received this book for an honest review.

The first thing that drew me to sign up to review this book is the cover, I love it!I have read the first book in this series, Look After You, and I was so pleased when I found out Sebastian had his own story to tell.I really liked the way the characters connected with each other, even the secondary characters.I love the way Elena writes, the way she sucks you into a story and keeps your eyes glued to the pages. I was taken on an emotional roller-coaster that left me reeling. A beautiful, amazingly written story that I recommend to anyone.
