A vibration rushes through my body, I look up at the judge as his eyes widen and a cold silence takes hold of the room. It’s him. I know it’s him. It can be no other. Before I can turn I whisper his name and feel the energy of him blaze up my body as if the simple whisper of his name makes it true, makes him true. As hard as I fight my own curiosity I can’t stop myself, with all the assuredness in my head I still have to prove it to my own eyes. Turning, I slowly raise my head up and look upon the three gentlemen, dressed in dark suits and letting the hoods of their coats fall back and reveal expressions of pure - desired annihilation. But it is he that stands center and strong that confirms my suspicions. It is he that has caused this silence and chocked the breath out of an entire room. It’s as if the air could breathe and it breathes a trembling gasp of his name, with all that laid their eyes on this sight I see. Only I breathe his name and meet his eyes whispering … “I knew you would come for me.” Only God could save me from a certain deadly fate, and so rightfully, he sent the devil to rescue me. The sequel to The Devil's Eyes is action packed while still maintaining the same dark romance and suspenseful tone of the first novel....

Absolutely loved this book and the continuation of Nick's and Kayla's relationship! My 5 stars should speak for itself but I will add that I just loved little Nicky and his already developing negotiating skills "my chair please"....I just about melted!

As much as I loved the first one in this series, this book didn't work for me. It started really good, just after the events in The Devil's Eyes, but somehow it became repetitive and... I don't know.Maybe I'll try again someday.

5 Awesome STARS!!!I loved it! Kayla and Nick are back... this time with Senator Spencer Welch out to get them, and he won't stop until he does! Stupid stupid man! With everything Nick and Kayla went through and the constant attack they are still getting... and now they know who is behind it all! And Nick is going to take them down one by one... Never underestimate Nick.... he is watching, waiting to strike.... I love him!And Kayla, she is not about to just sit and watch... not if she can help it... She has a really good talent in manipulating and proving herself as Nick's "other general".I enjoyed reading Nick and Brady's constant bickering. But what I like most is that the females characters are written strong, stubborn and smart... The action and suspense never stops! Then comes such powerful ending! Revenge was definitely sweet!!!!A fantastic read! Loved it! And I can't wait to read more!!!! Kayla, still reeling from the loss of Nick, takes control of the Jayzon empire. Nick's younger brother Ryan is there to support and protect her, but when she enters the cross-hairs of men with agenda - including the vice-presidency of the United States as a running mate - she realizes the corruption runs deeper than they thought. She's been setup, and she needs...him.Dark, sexy, intense... I could go on with several adjectives describing this amazing sequel to The Devil's Eyes. I had a hard time putting this one down. It is nice to see an author delve into the underworld for once. There are no rainbows and unicorns here. Just when I begin to think things are too predictable for the book to be worth continuing to read, Ms. Loren throws in a twist that I definitely did NOT see coming! Around every corner they find friend, enemies, friends masquerading as enemies, and so on. Who can they trust? How will they take down the competition? You'll have to read it to find out how the devil gets his revenge!

This is so not the norm for what I read but I have to say I loved it! I do of late have a bit of a tendancy to lean in the romance/erotic/emotional story lines (and to be fair this book does contain some of the afore mentioned). But this sequel was more based on the battle of prominent criminals and crime lords, with a good dash of political corruptness for good measure. I enjoyed very much how this story played out with a few good twists. What i liked more was that in most books i read these caharcters are the people you would never root for, they are the ones you hope to see fall. But in this book they are the heroes and you desperatly want them to succeed. In a strange way this book and completely shouts about the importance of family and love and loyalty(and i mean a stange way..lol). I am so glad i picked up The Devils Eyes as it ,lead me here and now on to the next!

Really liking this series so far. Nick is your bad boy hotter than hot, sexy and yes BAD and I love that he's committed totally to Kayla and his two boys.Book 2 doesn't disappoint and I love how each chapter features that person. Whereas you don't get lost in the story. Looking forward to Book 3.

I am in love with this series. This was a bit all over the place but it worked for me anyway. Just when I thought I wouldn't like it as much as the first one, the ending had me hooked eagerly anticipating the third book. Is Franky going to turn up alive eventually?! I get scared just thinking about it.

4.25 StarsI’m so surprised on how much I enjoyed The Devil’s Revenge. Usually it’s difficult for me to like book 2 of series, but Jennifer Loren did not disappoint! There will be spoilers from The Devil’s EyesThe Devil’s Revenge start where The Devil’s Eyes leaves off, Kayla sees Nick. It wasn’t a big shocker, but a good cliffy. I thought the Devil’s Revenge would have Kayla and Nick separated for most of the book, but they were not. There’s plenty of Nick and Kayla interaction that kind of weaves the stories together if it makes sense.Kayla “thinks” she sees Nick and she tells everyone, like Ryan, that Nick is alive. Everyone is telling Kayla to move on. Kayla is on a mission to prove her point and doesn’t give up on Nick. There is some sexual tension between Ryan and Kayla. Obviously Ryan is in love with her, but Ryan knows better than to have Kayla before Kayla gets over Nick.In the meantime, Ryan’s role gets a huge boost in this series. We get Ryan’s POV! YAY! I loved Ryan’s character in the Devil’s Eyes and I was very glad we got more of him. Ryan isn’t just the tough guy that happens to be at the right place and time, he is also a man with needs. I wouldn’t say Ryan and Kayla’s interaction is a huge part of the story, that it’s there and it leads to other things. The Devil’s Revenge is no boring book, there’s plenty of action and suspense and it’s one of my favorite parts of the book. You never know what’s going to happen next, who will be kidnapping who, who is going to kill who, who goes to jail and who betrays… it’s all very nerve wracking, but in a very good way. Of course Nick’s revivals are trying to take over the empire, but Kayla will have none of it. She doesn’t want to be the scared mother, but she wants to be a crime boss as well. You can really see the change in Kayla, from scared little girl to tough lady. I wouldn’t call Devil’s Revenge overly steamy, but there’s plenty of love and romance, things I crave for in books. If you were on the fence with continuing with the series, I’m here to change your mind. Series Order REVIEW | AMAZON AMAZONFor more reviews, http://jacquelinesreads.blogspot.com

Will it ever end .... ? Idk! But I know that it's a good little fix when you need some action.Team Nick and Kayla were back with a vengeance!! Bonnie and Clyde has nothing on these two! This book series keeps getting better and complex. New characters have arrived and we are getting the opportunity to learn more and build a better connection with the older characters. Nicky is growing up and some new additions are added to the family. Even the secrets are better kept.If possible, Kayla got even more badass and I fell even more in love with this character. She just has this air about her that you can't help. I swear I feel like I am watching a TV series when I read this book.Because of this though, sometimes this book got a little winded, but not in a bad edited way, just more of a get to the point way!Still, this book was written better than the first and a lot more momentum was present. I was jittery, anxious, impatient and so much more, waiting on Nick and his team to strike. While I didn't get the Ryan, Nick, Kayla love triangle I had initially hope for, Ryan still got hiss HEA (well, as much as this series affords), and I am definitely not pleased with the choice he got. While I think it is noble and out of the box who was picked for his mate, I didn't find it necessary in a story like this and see where future problems will arrive by her shortcomings. (No offence)Brady and Lena were given more roles this time and we start to feel those bonds tighten. Nothing like a little gangster loving :)Nick was back with revenge and goal on his mind and I'd be damned if he didn't complete it. He was ruthless, charming, mercurial and everything else that makes up Nick Jayzon. The man could star in any book or dream of mine any day! To get a love like his and Kayla, people would kill.I must admit that the earlier scenes were pretty obvious, but not enough to detract from the greatness that was this second novel. I felt like I was in an action movie half of the time and the addition of the new men only made the team stronger and better. It also aided the novel, as we finally got some answers and sort through some of the mess from the past.Elijah is great and I hope we have some more from him in book 3. He had a certain life and feel to the novel that was definitely missing. I have fallen in love with the characters as I progressed through this book and God knows I can't lose any of them now. With that, I am a little apprehensive to go into book 3 and I hope for the best as I continue down this journey that seems to only get better.

This book was an incredible improvement over the first installment.!!!! 3.75 STARS !!!! The writing was better and the story delivery was smoother. I still have a huge problem with the character of Nick. He is basically written as an protective alpha male figure. He loves his wife greatly. This just doesn't jive with the character of Nick in the first half of the first book. (view spoiler)[ He pimps his wife out to other men and lets her strip in his club in the first book even knowing who she was. Yet in this one he is a more likable character who loves, honors, and protects her even from someone looking at her wrong.(hide spoiler)] I like this Nick a lot more then the one from the first book but he's really inconsistent from the original character. I would say that was the major mistake this author made in the series. He should have let her manage the club to begin with instead of what he did. This installment made this series worth the read. It has tons of characters and that's a good thing because most of them get killed off between the first two books. I love the partnership and bickering between Nick and Brady. I'm undecided on if I want to read the third installment of the series or not. These books drag on forever and the first one was so bad I really feel like this book had a good enough ending for me to be satisfied with this series. At this point I'm undecided.

Wow, a little disappointed I cant read about Nick and Kayla :( This book was the second in the series and it had me on the edge the whole time. The twists were like i didn't see that coming at all, the romance between the two main characters were steamy and hot, and i enjoyed the other characters new or old. Hope there is a book three coming out soon, really enjoyed this series and would recommend it to anyone who loves action with a lot of romance from your everyday alpha male :)

Ahhhh this was an awesome series!I wish that it was a little bit more suspensful, I found that the gritty parts went quickly without a lot of dialogue behind it. Other than that I love Nick and I love how cunning he is! The last page leaves you in a bit of a cliff hang so I am going to assume there is a book 3 or a spin off with a supporting character. That I am all for!!

The story line kept me intrigued and the special characters were fucking amazing, Eddy and Sam were the bomb! My love for Nick Jayzon quadrupled & I can't wait to start The Devil's Son.

**This review contains spoilers**The Devil’s EyesI always enjoy a great story of revenge but I especially enjoy it when it gets complicated. Kayla Donovan has been studying Nick for years. Driven by the hate she has for him. Oh yeah, did I mention he dated her sister she feel head over heels in love with him, she was controlled by him and died. The only person that cared for her, that loved her was killed and Kayla knows he is responsible for her death, and she wants payback. Kayla finally has her chance and knows exactly how to get his attention but what she wasn’t prepared for was how attractive and alluring he is, especially his devilish eyes. She needs to gain his trust and most of all his heart so she can destroy it before he destroys her. She does whatever it takes to get there, even if it means having to deal with the devil himself in some criminal activities.Nichoals Jayzon has made a name for himself by stealing, duping and charming his way to the top practically owning the city. He is where he is because he is smart, he plans things out and pays attention to everything. Most fear him and almost everyone owe’s him favors. Then there’s the women, they fall to his feet. Not one woman has ever been able to resist his charms until he met Kayla. She is strong, smart, witty and doesn’t listen to a damn thing he asks of her. She intrigues him and he wants her. He test’s her every step of the way and she continuously shocks him with every step she takes. *Can I have your attention please- Let the battle of wits begin!* This book is suspenseful, a bit dark and romantic. Kayla is trying to better herself from her past while Nick has to battle the cruel realities of the present. With danger in every corner and no one to really trust, they learn to trust each other. Enemies who want to take Nick’s place are out for blood. When an unknown high ranking city official frames Kayla, he realizes no matter what he does those he has come to love will always be in danger and he will do anything and everything to protect her. When the truths comes out it is shocking but it always makes them stronger. I have to admit, this book started off a little slow for me but then WOW, once it took off, I couldn’t stop reading.. Kayla and Nick’s chemistry is explosive! I love their bantering and I love that fact that he was ALWAYS there for her even when she didn’t know it. At some points in the story it was a bit predictable for me but it didn’t ruin anything and the ending leaves you hanging. The Devil’s Revenge 4 StarsKayla’s life has fallen apart. She has lost the man that she loves and is devastated, angry. She and her son are in hiding. Ryan made a promise to Nick that he would protect them. Due to events , Kayla is forced out of hiding and to keep Nick’s legacy going, she takes control of the business. A power hungry city official has framed Kayla in her husband’s death and will stop at nothing to see her and the empire Nick has built destroyed. The DA has requested the death penalty. At her hearing, Nick shows up alive and well and the case against her crumbles and she is set free. With Nick back home, Kayla is releaved but PISSED. Let’s just say, Nick has a lot of groveling to do.When the enemy strikes again and goes for his children, Nick and Kayla are dead set on revenge. Getting help from unlikely allies, and learning to trust each other again. They do whatever it takes to save their family. Nick has a secret that will give Kayla some closure on her past and poor Kayla, her world is jumbled yet again. The Devil’s Son 4 StarsThe last book left us hanging, Nick is back his happiness is short lived, people from his past come back and threaten his future. With his sister’s fiancé (who happens to be the Chief of police) dead set on killing Dennis Savage, the very man who murdered his family. Nick will do anything to protect them, even if it means dancing with the devi . Nick’s father warned him of Mr. Savage and Mr. Savage has wanted Nick from the time he was little. New enemies come out of the shadows and again, threaten to take Kayla and his son’s away. They are no longer safe anywhere they go, especially his son Nicky. The truth about Mr. Savage comes to light, along with Nick’s family history *can I just say WOW* With a trip down memory lane things are explained, the pull he has had with Kayla, the power he has over people. Kayla stumbles upon a picture with a name that she has heard before. With help from her dad and Brady, she searches for information on the mystery women. While preparing to find a safe place for his family he gets help from his mother and he finds important papers that maybe the key to saving his family and himself. When Savage bursts into his home hurting Kayla and threatening the rest of his family, Nick has no choice but to work for him, the same person his father protected him from and the only person Nick has ever feared. This book brings to light a ton of information (jaw dropping information), especially when it comes to Nick and his family. The future is now completely unknown for the Jayzon family. It leaves you hanging and wanting more. This series has been suspenseful, sometimes humorous, mysterious and downright sexy.I look forward to seeing what’s will happen to Nick and his newfound information in The Devil's Masquerade: The Poison (The Devil's Eyes, #4) and then seeing what happens in The Devil's Masquerade: The Remedy (The Devil's Eyes, #5).It is a mix of The Sopranos meets The Devil’s Advocate, meets the intense love/romance of The Notebook...

The Devils Revenge is the second installment of the Devil´s Eyes Series by Jennifer Loren and if I thought the fist one almost killed my emotional household....then this one really made me feel worse and at the same time sooo much better. Due to the God-awful cliffhanger from the last book * The Devil´s Eyes* I was left with a hole in my heart and I wanted to read more about Nick ( I promised myself I wouldn´t write so much about the guy this time....) ..* Nick!! I LOVE YOUUU!*....Okay.....now that we´ve established my love for the irresistible criminal, I shall continue with this review. lolI also have to warn ahead...I cannot write this review without giving anything away. There will be spoilers ( small ones, I promise!) I will also add that I read the series back to back...meaning, I had the second book already in my hands so I was more than delighted that I wouldn´t be in a bitchy mood after book 1. Don´t you just hate when you have to wait 6 months or MORE for the next book? I hate that, because I forget about the series during that time....that sucks. Oh well.....( focus!!)So, Nick was gone and he left his wife, Kayla and their son Nicky alone with Nicks secret brother, Ryan. Not so bad considering the fact that Ryan and Nick were in some way alike. Ryan was supposed to keep Nick´s wife and child safe from all of those who wanted the complete Jayzon Family dead. The evil enemies from Nick were dead set on taking them down no matter what. Kayla and Ryan had a little smootchy wootchy moment, but luckily, Kayla ruined everything by calling Ryan Nick. lol ( now we ´ve got that covered...) After a while....Kayla got tired from hiding and went back to live her life and rebuild her late husbands emporium. She set up a plan that actually worked for a while, but then her crook days were over and the beautiful Kayla made more enemies than she could handle..( Sound confusing? I bet it does.read the book,,you´ll know what I´m talking about..lol)You know...the part where she decided to go all Mafia Boss on everyone´s ass made me so happy! Not that I love criminals.....Naah, I´m good with my blogging, thanks. I don´t support them in real life either...I just think it´s exciting to read about..:-) ANYWAYS....Kayla was in this book a mess. The death of Nick nearly broke her to pieces and I had the impression that she wouldn´t make it through the story without him. Kayla didn´t really have any clue as to what Nick actually did for a living...but she could only imagine it wasn´t the norm. Taking matters in her owns hands gave her the feeling that her husband was still with her. In some twisted way. And with Ryan always with her to protect her....her life wasn´t really anymore easy because Ryan reminded her of Nick. One lame mistake put Kayla in jail and thats when the fun started..:-)NICK WAS ALIVE!!! Kayla´s miserable days were over!!! ( so I thought..)....That, my dear readers, was only the very beginning of the book. There is so much info packed into this story that it would make it impossible for me to write a simple review. All I can say is that I almost dropped dead when Nick came back. The story got really interesting once he returned in the picture. There was alot of making up to do with Kayla, then they had to come up with a plan to get to the core of everything. Get all the bad guys killed and all. ( oooh, how exciting!! * clapping hands* ) The author made sure that nothing was left out in this book. I´m telling you.....There was brutal killing and a whole lot of sexiness in this book. A perfect combination for a hot, sizzling story! The writing style was fantastic and I had no problem at all picturing or feeling the scenes. The love felt realistic, and the angst was unbearable. The characters were again.....great, but besides my love for Nick....I really loved Nick´s friend, Elijah. I loved his attitude! Perfect guy next to Nick and all the other Book Boyfriends:-) I was rooting when Nick got to his last item on his list. Haha....The words " You´re dead" sent chills down my spine and it also thrilled me to bits reading them at that particular scene! So so exciting! The cliffhanger in this book was okay. It didn´t seem like one, but you def. knew the story had to continue! There are too many questions that need some answers and book 3 , The Devil´s Son, has them! This book was fantastic, great, fab, grand, and way cool! I felt like I was one of Nicks gang and I was totally ready to kick some ass on my own! That´s how awesome this story was. If you loved the first book you will love this one. The Divas are giving The Devil´s Revenge ( # 2 The Devil´s Eyes ) by Jennifer Loren 5 out of 5 ice cold champagne glasses!

reviewed by [email protected] Stars ReviewsWhen I first started reading this book I was very excited about it! I couldn't wait to start reading, and I enjoyed the start of the book a lot. But then towards the middle things just got kind of frustrating to me, and slightly over done. I felt like things just kept repeating themselves. Nick and Kayla have a wonderful romance that I love to see how it works between them, but there just seems to be so many different factors coming into play now. Kayla is on trial for murder now, and since Nick's death everyone is on edge to help her. But her biggest help turns out to be a shock to everyone! And then Kayla has another great surprise that shows up too!I just didn't care for this one as much as the last one. I won't be reading anymore especially seeing other reviews for the next book, and reading the sample chapters. I do not want "Franky" to come back into the picture now, or ever. I think that is really dumb, and it totally puts me off the books. I hated getting hints in this one that she could still be alive, it bothered me a lot. And I really do not care to learn about Nick's past, even if it seems little Nicky gets a bigger part in the next book, I still won't be reading it. I was disappointed in this one.

My biggest issues with this series are the sex scenes, the names, and jumping from scene to scene. This author appears to be able to write a good sex scene, but she never goes far enough. She does a little description and telling but it's like something is holding her back. I wish she would push past what's holding her back and write a fully developed steamy scene. I don't want a book full of smut. But when the characters seem to reconnect and heal through intimacy and closeness during sex, I need more development of the scenes. Also, the author switches between first names and last names when talking about characters. It gets confusing and breaks up the flow of the story when I have to figure out whose talking to who and whose doing what. JUST STICK TO ONE NAME!!! Lastly, some of scenes aren't fleshed out enough for me. IMO, some of the scenes end to abruptly and jump straight into something else and other scenes happen too far down the line. If it weren't for those 3 things I would prob give this book and book one 4 stars. Now I'm on to the next one.

Narration was Horrid! My Audible Audiobook Review:OMG! Why, oh Why did the narration change for book 2! Finally I fall in love with a dual narration...which I usually hate.. and them bam! Book 2 has the worst narration ever... I can't even tell who is talking half the time. Such a waste too...because this series is so good... it should be a crime... but man... the narration was just horrible... I seriously hope Audible goes back to their narration table and get the two that did book 1 to lock in for the rest of this series... OMG! Do disappointed... I have no idea what actually happen... I skipped here and there...Had to rewind just to figure out who said what! Horrible... Now, since I have read the actual book, I already know that Nick comes back and the ending was superb... another baby on board... Nick's sister has some drama with Nick's enemy...I mean I was a great read...but narration.. HORRIBLE!!!Worth a sale... don't buy or credit...you will be disappointed.

The sequel to Devil's Eyes doesn't disappoint at all. In this one, we pick right back up where we left off with Nick dead and Kayla is left to resume all responsibility of his empire. She gains some insight to how the game is played and she is ready to take on the world. Early on in this book Nick is back from the dead and learns a new lesson about life and death. This book was not as good as the first one for me, I guess it was just so many new characters and storylines introduced it was harder to follow for me. The multiple POV is also not sometime I really enjoy. Also, a lot of the anti-climatic scenes were a bit overkill. Overall it was a good read and I give it a solid 3 stars. I recommend to those who want more of Kayla and Nicks' story but don't expect more than a mere breezed of the whirlwind we were first introduced to in Devil's Eyes.

Even better then I imagined! I love how Nick & Kayla's relationship has evolved into a beautiful union. They have both grown immensely and for that alone I enjoy their journey..The Chemistry between the two was even hotter than in the first book. Action packed and drama loaded! I loved how more of the characters were introduced and given a more deep introduction, it made for a more suspenseful and exciting read. All the characters are great and it's so interesting to get each of their POV. But my soft spot will always be for Nick, dark, sexy, intense... I could go on with several adjectives describing him. I love him!!This book was exciting to read. I loved the way it ends! Now onto book 3, The Devils Son...;)

Wow what a whacked out story. Kayla....ugh I thought I had a hard time liking her in the first book. It only got worse for me in the second. Nag, nag, nag. She wanted to be a part of everything, she wanted to know Nicks every move, every thought. Leave the poor guy alone! Geesh! Nick just got more whipped as the story went. I mean is this the same guy from the first book? The author writes really really well, and that is what held me through the second book. I like the fact that this is a completely different romance than the usual. But I am losing interest because the switching back and forth of points of views and my need to suspend disbelief for the majority of the story. I am not really sure I am gonna read the next book at this point.

The second book in this series, I actually finished the first book and fell in love with nick! Then to my dismay I went to buy book 2 and couldn't, apparently the author had just signed on with a book company that had taken the books off the market while redoing the covers and stuff...I contacted the author, Jennifer loren, via email and she replied back quickly letting me know that all the books would be back on the market soon, I couldn't wait! I finally got to buy book 2 and I wasn't disappointed. It was amazing! I loved it. There are a lot more characters but it doesn't seem to ruin the relationship focus on nick and Kayla, it just makes it better! Loved it. I will be buying the next one soon.

This is actually better than the first installment. It begins with Kayla on the verge of receiving no bail for killing Nick, which is thwarted when he breezes into the court room. This sets the tone for what to expect in their chaotic, criminal lifestyle. Though it doesn't feature bikers, this a good tie over for anyone looking for the a crazy ride like.
