Yours to Command (Got 10 Minutes?) Reviews
3.5 starsI actually read this back in August 2012. I don't know why I never write something about it. It's a very short story, only around 7,000 pages. It was kind of cute, how these two guys had been pining for each other, but Rory preferred not to act on Jack's crush because, well, he was Jack's boss. Until he saw Jack whoring himself out in the street. Oooh, that didn't sit well with him ... I really liked how Jack finally decided that he had to make a move after Rory accused him like that, consequences be damned!
3.5 starsJack and Rory secretly have a crush on each other and neither of them will act on it until Rory is shocked into confronting Jack one night. The accusations and confrontation heats up and of course its a big misunderstanding which works in Jack's favour, finally some action its a sexy, sweet outcome although too short.
I can't leave a star rating on this as I'm the author but I wanted to let you all now that the second in the series is due out at the end of 2012.This will be a full-length adventure with the boys taking on a gruesome murder in an Army barracks in Germany - what a way to spend Christmas! It does, however, get them off-base and staying a hotel, so you can expect a fair amount of room-hopping amongst the detective work
Okay, first ewww for the cover. Me no likey!Second - 27 pages??? Lucky me, the (longer) sequel is already published. Hope it'll turn out to be great!
Wow, only 27 pages!!I didn't want to read this story, because most of the time, short story leave me quite disappointed. However, lately this little treat are quite refreshing.
Written for Cat's Meow~reviews that puurr http://cathybrockmanauthor.blogspot.com/ I have to say loved this cover and the Title. Captain Rory has already had issues with being Gay in the British Army. He doesn't want any more problems but he is very attracted to Joachim (Jack). He thinks it is mutual but Jack is also very young. One day he sees Jack on the road moonlighting as a rent boy. Rory is both angry and aroused. What happens? I am not telling! You will have to read this one and find out!I thought this was a very sweet story. My heart went out to Rory. I could feel his desire for Jack. I loved Jack he is sweet and playful. The two together are a great match. My only problem with the story is it’s a bit too short. I would have liked to see more of Rory’s story and why he was demoted and how Jack became to work for him. I felt like I picked up a second book of a series, though the story did stand well as it is it was interesting enough I would have liked to have seen more.I recommend this to anyone that like books about military, British Army, older men and younger men, and a loving sweet story.
Enjoyable short story.Apparently we're to get a longer story involving these two, I'll be eager to pick it up.
4 starsNice little short story, finally I read the beginning of Rory's and Jack's story. Would have been 5 stars, but it was just too short. Very good writing.
