All the teen girls are thrilled to have a new hottie in town—all except Niahm. Sam Coleman represents a threat to her perfect way of life. Sam is drawn to Niahm against his will. He'd prefer to not be bound to this angry, stubborn, unlikeable girl. Unfortunately, he has no choice. However, Sam didn't plan on falling for Niahm. For Immortals, love is not only forbidden, but dangerous for her. He finds himself in a fight not only for Niahm's heart, but to protect her from being harmed by those who seek to destroy Sam and those like him.Niahm finds herself attracted to the tall, copper-headed boy, who becomes her friend and then her support when tragedy strikes. Ok, if I like a book I’ll rave about it a bit and tell you all the things I liked blah blah blah. However, if I love a book I will gush. Well watch out folks because I’m about to get my gush on! This book was stupendous! I have to say Cindy C. Bennett is one of my 3 favorite indie authors. When I get word that she’s written something new I get giddy. Her books Geek Girl and Heart on a Chain are two books I recommend on a regular basis. Immortal Mine is her first venture in the paranormal genre and she came through like a champ! Cindy writes these characters that just grip you by the heart. They are so pragmatic. Niahm is no different. Her reactions to things that happen to her are some of the same I think I would have in her situation. Then there’s Sam. Every girl should have a Sam. Sam is the kind of guy that goes above & beyond for someone he cares about. I appreciate that they don’t just fall in love the first second they see each other. Cindy allows their relationship to grow and develop. There are great supporting characters as well. If you’ve read Geek Girl you’ll find a reference to the main characters in this book that I thought was fun. The pace of the book was perfect for me. She was able to move things along without getting wordy or drawing out any particular event. Oh, and the Gaelic was such a neat touch. I love all things Irish so that was so interesting to me. I am going to have a difficult time waiting for the next book.

This was a pretty entertaining book for the most part. I liked that Naihm was independent and a strong female lead character. I liked and enjoyed the chemistry between Sam and Naihm as well. I did find myself getting a little annoyed at Naihm at times because she was wound just a little tight for my liking. She got mad at silly things but overall I liked her. Sam was the perfect doting boyfriend... I might have liked to see a bit more spark/fight in him. I thought he could use a stiffer backbone because he was constantly trying to make sure Naihm was happy which is fine at times but not always. I hate to say it, but I was reminded a bit of Twilight in this book. With the immortals having thor eye color being different, the special abilities (Sam could read minds and thoughts through touch) and the three day transition. It wasn't overly like Twilight, just saying for me, I did think there were a few similarities. Overall a good, fun, entertaining book. Recommended for kids of all ages, very clean as well!

Mysteriously sweet. What i liked about this novel:✔Most of the scenes were sweet.✔Thank you for not adding vampires into the equation.✔It gets better near the end.✔I actually feel for Niahm especially about her parents.✔I like Sam. He's patient with Niahm. What i didn't like:✔I felt a little trickle of twilight here. I just cannot pinpoint where exactly.✔Niahm was ridiculously lame at the beginning.✔The scene wherein Sam revealed himself.. uhm, hello? Even Sam found it to be stupid after all that was said and done. ✏ I can't say that i love the plot since it was pretty predictable. Anyway, it was still a good read.

Cindy C. Bennet...

And she does it again! Cindy Bennett entertained me with Geek Girl, broke my heart in Heart on a Chain, and now, with Immortal Mine, has proven again what a marvelous and talented author she is. For fans of the Twilight series: here’s a novel that will give you that exciting fix you got from Stephenie Meyer. I’m hoping for sequels since the characters were unbelievably real. The writing is of the highest self-published quality out there and Bennett opens with settings, actions, dialogue, and characters that rival the most popular YA selections.Imagine falling for a guy who has special powers and is immortal. Only you don’t know it. Naihm (pronounced Neeve) is a seventeen year old with a firecracker personality - smart, loyal, and profoundly independent. She doesn’t take to the new kid, Sam, right away, but he is powerless to resist bonding to her. And, she is helpless, too, vulnerable to his charm, his immortal charm.Naturally there are villains and Bennett writes a roller-coaster thrill ride that meant I couldn’t put my Kindle down until I finished. The ending is satisfying and open for sequels – please.I highly recommend this book especially if you've never read a paranormal romance.

It’s a clean and entertaining love story with an exciting paranormal twist. It’s perfect for young adults of any age! I was pleasantly surprised by Niahm’s small town life. First off, the little town of Goshen was a lot more interesting than I would have suspected, especially after Sam and Shane’s arrival. Second, Niahm’s love and dedication to her town and her farm said a lot about her character. Niahm is an appreciative, independent seventeen-year-old who is devoted to her many responsibilities. She’s mature and dependable. Well I do not know if it was just me or not but I found that beginning of Immortal Mine to be just a little bit slow for my liking but when I hit the half way mark I could not stop turning the pages. I was so excited when I received Immortal Mine for review that I started reading right away. I was not disappointed. I really enjoyed Niahm from the start. I enjoyed the way that her character was written out. I really enjoyed all of the characters. Cindy Bennett has taken us to places that I have not seen before in her other novels. I loved the few small references to her other novels that she has thrown into Immortal Mine. I just love any novel written by Cindy Bennett. Immortal Mine has a beautifully written plot, characters that will stay with you long after you finish the novel, romance, Humor, Suspense, Drama and Immortals. What more could you ask for. I for one hope that Cindy writes a sequel to Immortal Mine just so that I can see what happens next. With a ending like that I am hoping that I will see another novel in the near future.I would recommend this novel to all YA paranormal lovers out there.

Wow, I hate to give this 2.5 stars because I love Cindy Bennett's writing, but this was a bit disastrous. I LOVE Geek Girl, as in I love it to the point where I re-read it every year when I'm looking for a little light-hearted, funny, swoony story that I can read in a few hours and finish with a huge smile on my face.I was expecting that from this book, too, but the love interest was a little too high on the creepy-meter for my taste. In Twilight, I was able to pretend Edward Cullen was 17 and not 100 years old, but here, I was feeling everyone of those 500 years, making me wrinkle my nose every time they kissed.I'll just say This was no Geek Girl and leave it at that in an effort to be nice.

For anyone wondering where the excellent standalone story has gone in the sea of never-ending, cliffhanger-ending-filled, taking-too-long-too-finish YA series, look no further. Cindy Bennett has provided clean, enjoyable, beyond the genre wonderfulness in each of her three standalone books. This one is no exception. (I could definitely see a sequel, but the story wraps up with this book.) This is her first paranormal book and that aspect was handled nicely. Believable characters with depth enhance the paranormal aspect. And she hasn't lost her touch with writing lovely blossoming romance. I will eagerly await her next title.

Niahm is a self-sufficient 17-year-old who has been taking care of herself and her farm while her parents travel the world. She loves her hometown of Goshen and pretty much has her life planned out. People moving into this small town is unheard of. But when it is found out that these two guys are hot and single- one a teenager and one an adult, the whole town goes out to meet them. Niahm and Sam get off on the wrong food. It's all pretty silly but man do they seem to hate each other. They are so focused on the tension they hardly see the sparks flying. The book is pretty good. I enjoyed it and it turned out to be more than I expected. It's addictive and felt very real. I laughed, cried and fell in love. Also, I would get so caught up in the book (with the characters, emotions, storyline) I would forget myself. I would catch myself, look around and realize I was actually reading and not watching a film or something. This was the book for me. An amazing escape that keeps you guessing and is addictive.Niamh is a relatable character. She is head strong and self-contained and a good mixture of strong and vulnerable. Sam is a total sweetheart. He lacks the ability to think things through but he is patient and loving and sweet. Sam and Niamh make a great couple. Honestly though, all the characters in this novel are great.Reading a story about immortals, I expected it to be generic and along the lines of: boy meets girl. Boy and girl fall irrevocably in love. Boy reveals inhuman-ous to girl. She may or may not freak out. She gets over it.They live happily ever after. I expected this. I thought I knew where the story was headed. Honestly I found that it followed my blueprint to a point then I was left not knowing what to expect. I found the pacing slowed alot on a couple of parts but even that did little to deter me from this read. I found this book to be great. I loved many things in this novel: the romance, the characters, the action... But above all, the ending was amazing. I found that it ended well but with a few questions in the air. Cindy, if you ever write a sequel for Immortal Mine you can count me in on the list of readers who will be anxious to get her hands on it. I received a free copy of this novel in exchange for an honest review.

Immortal Mine: An Immortal Life by Cindy C Bennett 4 STARSi liked this story, I laughed and cried while reading it.The story takes place in a small town of Goshen, UT.(I am a shamed that I had to look up where Goshen is especially since its only a around an hour or so from where I live in another small town.) Niahm Parker is 17 and lives on the family farm. Her parents travel the world and write travel books. She has stayed on the farm while they have traveled since she was 13. She has chickens, cow, dog on 50 acres. She plans to stay in Goshen the rest of her life while all her friends plan to leave as soon as they can.No one moves to Goshen they all leave instead so it was big news when a farm is sold. The town did not know till the moving van got their. It was passed around that Sam Coleman 17 and his uncle Shane moved in. Everyone took them food to welcome them.Niahm took her famous pie to them and got off to a bad start with Sam when he asked if it was bought. All the high school girls were excited to have a good looking males move to town.Sam felt the binding to Niahm which meant that he had to be close by her as much as he can. A binding means to protect her. He ends up boarding his horses at her place till they can fix up thier barn. Sam is really old over 400 years. He is Immortal can only be killed by a few immortals who know how. So they have to be careful of others of thier kind. Sam starts to fall in love with Niahm and that is usually frowned upon getting attached to humans that they feel a binding for. Sam can also read minds by holding someones hands. It deals with a lot of issues. I like the characters and how slowly they built and let us know more. I kept on thinking how can they leave thier 13 year old home alone while they traveled around all the time. I hope that Cindy writes more books about these characters.I was given this ebook and asked in return to give honest review when I finshed it from Librarything.Publisher: CreateSpace Independent Publishing Platform (December 4, 2011) 326 pagesISBN-10: 1468031708

I've really liked the other two Cindy Bennett books I've read, so this one seemed like a no brainer. Not to mention the story takes place in GOSHEN, UT of all places! That really solidified it for me. From the beginning, though, it was apparent that this not like her other books. Obviously the paranormal element was something new, but what really differentiated it was the serious lack of polish. The uber-predictability and schmaltzy cliche romance, along with sporadic pacing, conveniently patched plot holes, and some exceptionally bizarre behavior by the characters, barely elevate Immortal Mine out of fan-ficdom. Aside from all that, though, the small-town Utah part was pretty classic, and really, the guy in this story is unparalleled in the love department: soooo bad it's hilarious!

I love the way Bennett wrote the story, it always well written and I can connect to the story. This book also well written but unfortunately I'm not quite satisfied with the story.Immortal mine is a mixture between twilight saga and significance series. I like the main character, Niahm, she's nothing like Bella. I love her independence and her stubbornness and other characters are lovable. But its the story that I'm having problem. I don't like the way the characters didn't know what cause them to become immortal, it's like Bennett create the story but didn't have a reason behind it. Unless, there will be a sequel of this book and she will reveal it in next book. So far, this is my less favorite Bennett's books

I love Cindy C. Bennett books. Heart on a Chain and Geek Girl are one of my favorites books. The problem with this one in particular was that I found Niahm very annoying at the beginning of the book. Her reactions too exaggerated. I felt also that some of the events of the story were rushed and that the end needed more development.I found the last pages of the book where Sam and Niahm intrinsic connection was supposed to be explained lacking of a.)a name for it and b.) good arguments to make that such intimate relationship believable. The good news is that the story is full of humor so it will make you smile a couple of times.

Ah I really liked this book! I really love Mrs. Bennett's books; they're so awesome and I'm really looking forward to the next one.I loved the quick reference to Geek Girl, in the beginning of the book when Neeve (I can't spell her name) and Sam were at the Italian restaurant, it said something there about a goth girl and a nerdy guy. Hah. I loved that!Really, I can't wait for the author's next book!!! :D

Sometimes you have to sort through a lot of coal to find your diamond. I've read a lot of terrible books lately and honestly didn't have the highest of hopes for this - but I was pleasantly surprised here. There was everything I want in a story, the romance, a little action, a strong independent girl, a gorgeous boy, a little mystical power here and there. It was well written, well presented, and I definitely recommend to all YA paranormal romance fans out there.

I enjoyed reading this book with all its hot immortals. I loved the strory and the way Niahm (pronounced Neeve) was so independent but sad that her parents were never around. my only problem was my frustration with her name I could not wrap my head around it to say Neeve in my head. Very frustration other than that a great book with lots of love and friendship and excitement. must read..

Niahm is a little anoying, always jumping off the handle at the littlest things, but I just adore Sam and Naihm eventually pulls her head out of her ass so all's well! But yeah like I said, can't wait for the next one!!

What shocked me was that Samuel was married at one point in his life. Not that that's not okay but it just doesn't float well with me.
