This was a really nice manga about Pokémon Mystery Dungeon and it was thoroughly enjoyable. I did really like it, though I have to agree with the majority that it is definitely "loosely" based around the games. I agree with that becaus there were several inaccuracies both about the games and Pokémon itself: some examples are that Absol detects natural disasters, not causes them; Gold rank is not the highest a rescue team can attain; the rest of the village didn't come to help quell Groudon; a final example is that team ACT (Alakazam, Charizard and Tyranitar's team) are defeated prior to the hero and their partner arriving. Overall though a really great short read and five stars from me, simply because it's Pokémon Mystery Dungeon if nothing else!

I read Ginji's Rescue Team when it ran in Nintendo Power magazine; it was a cute kid's story with a "Don't give up" moral at the end. The story itself is a little rushed: Ginji wakes up one morning as a Torchic. A Mudkip convinces him to form a rescue team, and while the manga sticks close to the plot of the Mystery Dungeon video games, it would have been more interesting had the story been slowed down and broken up into two or maybe three volumes. The plot moves so quickly that character development gets thrown by the wayside and Ginji and Mudkip don't get the treatment they deserve as the main characters. I knew very little about them at the end that I didn't know from the beginning.Overall, a cute read for fans of the Pokemon series. I've only read it once and I don't think I'll read it again.

Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Ginji's Rescue Team is an amazing book. The characters have interesting personalities that kept me reading. There was never a dull moment either. The characters were always trying to solve a problem, or were being conflicted by the antagonist. This is definitely one of my favorite books because of the characteristic and actions of the characters. I also like it because i can relate to the protagonist. I would recommend this book to any person who likes Pokemon, because it is simply wonderful.

The beginning doesn't really make you feel like you're in the Pokemon world, besides the fact that Genji is wearing a Gastly t-shirt. But I guess that part doesn't really matter. For the most part I think it sticks to the game's story. The Pokemon's personalities are the same as their game counterparts. I thought their facial expressions were cute/hilarious. It ends with a life lesson: that we should never give up. What better way to motivate kids than to use Pokemon? :)

Hahaha I know right. Pokemon...? I still have a soft spot for it since it was like MY LIFE in fourth grade. You should have seen me-the lone girl surrounded by a bunch of boys. Well I read this book (barely...its backwards so THAT was difficult. But I was happy to try something new.) and I still think its cute and I loved it when I was younger so here it is!

Pokemon Mystery Dungeon is a good book for beginning readers, but not high level readers. This book's story line is pretty strait forward with only a little twist. People can read this book for entertainment if they want because it's really funny and kind of strange at some parts. For the people that really dislike pokemon, don't even consider this book.

3 1/2 starsI think that the story could have been better expanded upon if they had split it into more than one volume. Otherwise this read fairly quickly and smoothly. The art was lovely and the book seemed to follow fairly well to the main game storyline.

I have alternatively aided and treated Tristan Lyndel O. Molina and Sabrina Faith G. Evangelista from Academy of Jesus last Monday with gameplay at Dota 2 as though I am new to "Ginji's" Rescue Team from Pokémon Mystery Dungeon along with different students, right?

This story line is way to long to fit in just one book! It's still a good book and the opposite, I'm the Mudkip and my partner is a Torchic.

Think it would've been more interesting if they expanded it, even if they made it into 2 volumes instead. Would've given it more time for character development. But it was cute overall.
